Phantom Dagger - Fire in the Rim of the Pacific

In the summer of 1982, during the massive RIMPAC82 naval exercise off Japan, a Soviet carrier group arrives to monitor the operations, shadowed by a US Navy destroyer. Tensions rise as Soviet aircraft conduct mock missile drills, and a misinterpretation by a destroyer crew leads to them opening fire on the Soviet battlegroup. The Soviets retaliate, and the situation rapidly spirals out of control as both sides escalate, involving additional ships, aircraft, and land-based forces. Amid the confusion and breakdown of communication, the United States and the Soviet Union are plunged into war—a catastrophic conflict born from fear, miscalculation, and the fog of war.

Phantom Dagger puts you in command of a Soviet carrier battle group as the fog of war draws you into a devastating engagement with NATO naval and aerial assets. It is designed to seriously test what carriers are capable of in Sea Power. The scenario is extremely challenging and will force you to make difficult decisions as to how you chose to use the limited forces available to you.
