I may attempt to link all the vanilla portraits one day... but not any time soon.
so stuff like fairies, snails, monsters, etc.. get no portrait by default
you have to add manually portraits for them with the links
I may be doing something wrong because the creator themselves made this mod https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3370432145
which supposedly actually gets it to work the vanilla portraits, but I haven't seen a single person who isn't the creator of PSF successfully implement it correctly.
I think I will have to wait until the mod either PSF dev makes default portrait links or for someone who understands the lore better than me to make one.
But yeah I agree that it is way too much work to make you (or other modders outside the PSF) handle vanilla behavior
Yes that is the exact issue I was mentioning, I don't want to nor do I feel qualified enough to be the one to link all the vanilla portraits. I know what my portraits are for so I can easily link them accordingly.
idk if you can see it in the mod files but all of my portraits are already linked/tagged in this version of the mod, I did it quite differently then you thought which is another reason why I don't want to link default portraits.
I did my tagging more like this:
c_donwon_f-01:c_f_tourist_eulderna,c_f_tourist_juere,c_f_tourist_norland,c_f_tourist_roran
This way, that portrait only shows up for human like races and the tourist class. It takes a lot longer but is that not the whole point of PSF to make it so that random snails don't look like humans. I could probably lose the classing to make it easier on myself and stick to races though...

it is like 5 times longer than this but character limit
once you specifically name a class with the PSF format, then it will only give that class portraits you named for that class/race combo
'portrait_specification_framework_links.txt' in your mod's workshop folder (this can actually be done INSIDE the original mod More Lore Portraits
then you just create links using this format
