v1.2 Lard and Minced Meat Recipe Update: * Nerfed Lard Render - balance pass for Lard Recipe, the Lard result is determined by the Calorie units used. Should be a rough estimate on the number of minced/animal meat calories used. * Minced meat Recipe ingredients balance based on the new calorie estimates on minced meat. * Removed salt and pepper requirements on baloney and salami.

Was wondering why nobody made a Lard recipe, so heres one based from all my learnings in making PZ mods.
Also a simpler recipe for Hotdogs, Make sausages with minced meat. Its an evolved recipe like cooking in a pot so you can add condiments to it. Get yo Glizzy!

Also added in Pickled Meats so you can store meat for longer without making use of a fridge, its based from Bottling of Meat mod without all the distributions.
Its a separate add-on so you can leave it off if you don't need jarred meats.

  • Needs Cooking 3.
  • Should be compatible with food mods, its just another recipe and shoudn't interfere with them. Code is based from Sapphs cooking mod, thanks Sapph!
  • Its a bit involved so its not the same as my simple food mods. The recipes should be in the images above. Happy cooking!
  • Lard and Minced Meat recipe ingredients are based on calorie units used.
  • Added smoked sausages recipe good for long trips, lasts for 2 weeks!

You can get more vinegar and yeast by using my Simple Ferment Vinegar mod, Thanks for using the mod!

@Spekta, yeah I like using Big Size Spice too, its not compatible with this mod?
Other than that I use the dig salt mod but adjusted its rates a bit so that I can get more at each dig as it costs way too much stamina.

What mod do you recommend for finding more salt? I was using the Big Size Spice mod, which added salt bags, but it doesn't seem to be compatible. Love your mod :steamhappy:

plus u should add more all kind of meat in game cause some use sir doggy hunting mod who give u steaks and pork chops

sent in latest update halved the Lard nutrients result this is based on unit calorie used, also applied this change to all minced meat recipes. please see v1.2 changelog thank you!

Yeah, i mean 1/4 of full lard bricket, 25% of current recipe result. But Its only my opinion. Zomboid veterans can not agree with than. Or they can. I dunno :)
