Greetings, friends! This mod is currently undergoing an massive rewriting and fundamental reconstruction.
Please be pationt, yet I'll try to get it to work before the 11th when Odyssey Releases!
Sadly, I cannot garuntee my sucess...

Greetings, fellow Humanoid!

Did you ever want to get crushed by an 700kg slab of concrete? No?
Well me neither.

This mod adds a new Mechanoid unit, called the Isopod!
It currently features two variants, an Ultraheavy-SMG and one Autocannon one!
Boy are those fun (to have) in CE!

Lore:

Most Isopod mechs are specialised around close-quarter combat,
and can thus be commonly observed in urban and caveworld warfare.

The name comes from its natural resilliance and survivability in extreme enviroments. Usually equipped with an enourmous - yet still relatively simple - gunpowder-based Submachine-Gun. Favoured by many contractors due to it being cheap to aquire and easy to maintain, making it a worthwhile investment and reliable companion for mining and research trips.

Being comparibly nimble for its size, it also finds usage in the urbworld enforcement and private security and military sector,
some even grow to seeing and treating said units as friends trough their travels with them.

Here, on this rimworld, you will mostly see them in rogue mech-swarms, devoid of their usual tactical prowess.
Yet, their overwhelming size and firepower can quickly become the end of anybody that dares to match them in brute firepower.

Currently adding two versions, variations for preferably different tiers are planned!
Once I made enough smaller mechanoid mods, I will make an full-sized add-on out of them, likely with additional mech content along the way, eventually.

Added new Variant, called the Isopod Panzer!

- 10.01.2025:
Added missing defs that allow resurection, since I somehow missed them, sincere apologies.

Renamed 'Assel' to 'Isopod', more specificly the SMG Assel to 'Isopod Spearhead'. It just fits better in the long run.
Def Names remain the same, so no errors should happen. Tell me if otherwise.
- Additional variations will likely follow soon, as initialy promised.

Small grammar fixes throughout descriptions and infotexts.

-27.1.2025:
Added new variant called the 'Panzer', whose prime feature is it's new weapon, used in long range.
Comes with natural CE support, perfectly fine to use with the 'generic ammo experience' submod.

Greeting again, Gentlemechanoid enjoyers!
Thanks to a surge of motivation, a new update has been pushed, this time adding a new Isopod variant, as I had initially said I would expand upon!

This new variant of the Isopod is called the 'Panzer'!
While still the same in terms of base stats, it comes equipped with a new weapon, called the 'Panzerbüchse', essentially a mobile Auto-Cannon!

While inherently powerfull, it is quite situational,it is strong against singular targets, which it will easily shred. Note that it comes with an minmal fireing radius of four (4), so make sure to avoid friendly fire!

Aighty, thanks to hYPERION who helped me with the code, the mod should work as intended now! Together with the fix, the assel has gotten a few tiny tweaks, as I will state in the description.

That being said, I am not even happy with how the mod has turned out, which made me decide to reiterate it in the comming weeks. Apologies again for leaving this work in such an broken state...

I am so sincerely sorry for my inability to make this mod functioning the way it is supposed to...
It is only today I noticed that the Assel cannot even be ressurected, .. Well, that completely slipped my perception and I am sincerely sorry for that, to my suprise, nobody has mentioned that, and I have not gotten around to using it, which made me assume all is fine...
