Thanks to a surge of motivation, a new update has been pushed, this time adding a new Isopod variant, as I had initially said I would expand upon!
This new variant of the Isopod is called the 'Panzer'!
While still the same in terms of base stats, it comes equipped with a new weapon, called the 'Panzerbüchse', essentially a mobile Auto-Cannon!
While inherently powerfull, it is quite situational,it is strong against singular targets, which it will easily shred. Note that it comes with an minmal fireing radius of four (4), so make sure to avoid friendly fire!
That being said, I am not even happy with how the mod has turned out, which made me decide to reiterate it in the comming weeks. Apologies again for leaving this work in such an broken state...
I am so sincerely sorry for my inability to make this mod functioning the way it is supposed to...
It is only today I noticed that the Assel cannot even be ressurected, .. Well, that completely slipped my perception and I am sincerely sorry for that, to my suprise, nobody has mentioned that, and I have not gotten around to using it, which made me assume all is fine...
Glad you're having fun! :D
From my headcannon they are basicly Riot-Units, just more lethal, against Insects for example, thus the primer of being used commonly in tight spaces like cave-worlds! But with *only* 14mm of protection still suceptible to heavy fire, they canonicly were not designed for open-field combat, more so to hold street-corners, so to say!
Feel free to tell me, is their CE ballance alright? Haven't used them with CE myself in a casual setting myself yet... :c
[Sincere apologies for bad grammar, I'm german, hence it's name!]
i dropped 8 of them against an enemy base and they just mauled everyone, started dying when they got shoot by a big turret but still 2 survived and killed the rest
they are prettry good
Great if you like them! Have you played with them already?
They are optimally utilized in very to close ranged distances, in which they'll excell every other ranged mech. They are essentially meant to take fire meant for your colonists, as they should never be ignored when approaching, which makes them just as dangerous to fight against.
As a quick reference, an Assel sould beat a Centipede in an 1-gap duel, but will still be quite damaged afterwards.
Very much so.
@evan
Friend, with massive Gun!
It comes to no suprise to see the simple-minded to climb out of their caves of linguistic sound-alike.
This being, is more than just a machine with a *funny name*.
It is a companion, a buddy - a friend.
It is made to be loved. To be cherished.
But of course, all that matters is the funny name. Typical.
May your soul find the entertainment you seek, but you shall not find it in this machine.
This mod is probably going to become obsolete once I make enough content for a larger Mech mod, on which I will likely start working on, in which I will feature this one aswell.
Eine Assel: One Isopod
Viele Asseln: Many Isopods
Also, since I don't know a lick of German, I have to ask: is "Asseln" a correct plural in German? In English, "Assels" or "Asselen" would be how you would do it.
And yeah, I made quite a few spelling mistakes, sincere apologies. They should be fixed now, hopefully.
As one might guess my heritage is german, hence it's name.
Not too sure about what kind of unique variation to add...
You made a few spelling mistakes in your Description, though: "ITS" is when it owns something, while "IT'S" means "it is."
