Description
The Skiff is a compact starter CV for Reforged Eden 2 with a focus on early-unlock at level 12 and affordable resource requirements, being built almost entirely from Carbon Substrate. This lowers the weight and consequently the thrust necessary to have a viable ship. As you acquire the resources necessary, you have access to install upgrades; nothing is hidden in inaccessible locations.

  • Cargo: Main Cargo of 223,125. A harvest controller of 222,000. An ammo controller of 56,000.

  • Medical: Space for a full suite of medical devices, as well as a shower (for radiation & temperature).

  • Kitchen: Food prep, fridge, and armor repair station.

  • Production: Room for a large constructor, and a deconstructor. There's also a dedicated deconstructor container onboard for automatic decon work.

  • Engineering: Exterior access to the warp & shield bay, and shuttered access to the wings where the generators and sensors are located.

  • Sensors: Automatic lights, ramps, and doors.

  • Weapons: 1 top-mounted gatling turret, and defense turrets at each boarding ramp. There are also two cannon slots on the sides of the Skiff (probably for laser drills when you unlock them). There's also room for a shield booster above the ammo controller (remove the Truss Blocks).

  • Gravity: A centrally located shutter in the main hallway allows access to the Core and includes space for a 1-block Gravity Generator XS, ensuring coverage across the saucer section.

With seating for 5, bring your friends and take on new horizons! Just be sure to upgrade your ship; it is a barebones Skiff after all.

i really like your ship designs and sub'd to most of them. Seeing that line up it looks like a work of art can't wait to see it completed

@PapaRobzee: Not yet. It's about 80% complete, but still a work in progress. However, I did just post the Scarab ; it's fairly large by itself. ^_^

@Madiku : Oh no! My greatest failing, you discovered it! lol

Sadly no. The small gravity generator must be located in that cell to cover the saucer section, and the only way to remove the radiation/cold is by moving it an additional block away from the player (which is impossible since there are no free blocks nearby to shove it into). The "Skiff Major" addresses this shortcoming by adding a larger generator, and hiding out of harms way.

Is there a way to block the cold and radiation from the grav xs once inside the shutter in the hallway?
