Description
Have you outgrown the Skiff Starter CV but can’t let go of its iconic design? The Skiff Major is here—the tougher, smarter "big brother" of the original.

Operate indefinitely in "Low Power Mode." Dock your SV on the new landing pad, raid POIs with 9 turret slots, and mine asteroids with 6 cannon slots. Plus, monitor your vessel's status with the new HUD displays.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

The Skiff Major retains its iconic aesthetic while doubling in volume. Now heavily armored with Hardened Steel, Xenosteel, and Combat Armor, it ensures maximum protection for your vital components and cargo. With nearly quadruple the thrust, it effortlessly manages its larger frame, capable of full-load takeoffs and flight from 4G worlds. More lighting, more automation, more everything!

Notable Changes
  • Landing Pad: Now featuring a rear-access landing pad connected to the main hall—dock your SV directly on the back of your Skiff!

  • Weapons: Firepower expanded with 4 additional cannons (6 total), plus massively increased turret capacity—comes with 7 turrets, and room for 2 more!

  • Cargo: Upgraded by 27% to 640,000. Additionally, there are 2 Reinforced cargo containers: 1 for decon work, and 1 for valuables.

  • Shields: Enhanced with an extra capacitor & recharger, bringing max shield hitpoints to nearly 20k

  • Power: Power efficiency overhauled...
    - Basics replaced with 2 Improved Generators.
    - Added 1 Basic & 2 Standard Plasma Turbines for extended runtime.
    - "Low Power Mode" lets you idle indefinitely—no more spoiled fridge food!

The "Skiff Major" retains everything you loved about the Skiff, and now comes fully equipped and ready for action!

SV pictured on the landing pad is the "Sprite" by Ente.
Prompted by Xarq: "nice looking ship! Would love to see a "bigger brother" version..."

Did a minor refit to turn this into a starter combat CV. Happy with it's performance. Awesome ship!

Great looking ship and cool presentation! Thumbs up! :) (on all of your builds) Keep'em coming! ;)

I continue to love your previews/presentation. :) (And thank you for explaining how you do the cross-section pics, which I asked about in the comments on this guy's little brother.)

I spawned this guy into my current run, and I've been having lots of fun with it! The only thing I changed was switching out the laser turrets for gats instead, just because the ammo is less expensive and I believe they use less power/CPU, and I'm not using this to directly take on POIs. I'll probably install some mining lasers at some point, too, but for now, this is functioning as an exploration vessel, operating from my carrier as a home base, and it's working wonderfully. The only thing I wish it had was a long-range scanner to more easily/quickly scan space, but I don't see how one would fit on this little guy.

Overall, he's small and has 99% of what I need/want, which is just how I like my ships. And he still has his anti-claustrophobic windows and glass floor, yay! :D

Awesome work as usual Atriace!

I know what a pain it can be to enlarge a ship and keep the same style overall.
Great Job.

Love the Turbine placement.
Looks great.

My honest thank you @Atriace, sounds doable to me and i will give it a try on a upcoming release.
