Turtle's L'il Fishron Race

In 1 collection by Turtleren
Turtle's L'il Race Pack
12 items
Description
Directly based off of the Cute Fishron mount.

***** Main Traits *****
+ 2 more max minions
+ 3 more max sentries
+ Infinite levitation flight.
+ Infinite breath and not slowed by fluids.
- 10% reduced max health

***** Other Traits *****
+ Hold [PRIMARY RACIAL ABILITY] (default Z) for bubble breath! Bubble breath debuffs enemies hit, reducing their direct contact damage by 40% for 0.5sec.
+ Press [SECONDARY RACIAL ABILITY] (default X) to summon a water tornado where you are. The tornado does continuous damage in a spot for 10 seconds before disappearing.
+ Innate knockback immunity.
+ Gains a health regen buff in rain or liquid.
~ Non-minecart mounts act like transformations, hiding your character. Items can still be used.
- Wider hitbox. You can still fit into a 2 block gap. Hitbox is reverted to normal while mounted.
* Can be mounted by others, granting resistance to the rider.

***** How does bubble and tornado damage scale? *****
Your bubble breath and tornado damage scales with your max health, as well as your summon damage multiplier.
Stack lots of health and summon damage to make your attacks stronger!

***** Additional Notes *****
- Highly configurable.
- Most armour and accessories won't render properly, if at all.

Great mod but i noticed an issue, the mod replaces the white on the color sliders with the normal fishron colors,
I wanted to design the colors to resemble a koi fish but literally couldn’t because i cant get white or make the right shade of orange

This is cool and all, especially the summoner-class buffs, but unconditional infinite flight right off the bat seems a lil OP. Perhaps you could do what Tianic's Pigron does and only have the flight be unlimited while wet?

Thank you! I do try my best to be on top of fixes and other QoL tweaks.
Update is released with the new config now. Let me know if it doesn't work for some reason~

That'd be amazing. Thank you! I just gotta commend you on your hard work, I've never seen so many mods (even though they're all kinda collective) get updated so fast before. Very nice work! I look forward to playing around with this whenever you get to update this one!

I can work something out. Likely, I will add a new config which lets you choose how the breath immunity should be handled from one of three options:
1. Like the gills effect, which it is now.
2. No water breathing.
3. No gills effect, but your breath won’t decrease even if the breath meter shows up underwater.

Oh that explains it! Yes I'm playing legendary mode. That is very odd, and an interesting interaction. Would it be possible to have a setting to toggle the gills effects in such cases? The idea of the race sounds really fun to try especially for these higher difficulties where it's much like playing a shm'up game.

That shouldn’t be the case, but if you’re playing on a For the Worthy world or similar which changes how the gills effect works, then yeah, you’ll be suffocating in air and breathing in water. Functionally, this race just always gives you the gills effect.
Uibi 17 Mar @ 7:54pm
It doesn't say you can't breathe air, and gills potions didn't work either. This feels unplayable because I suffocate with no options to stop dying, and the description doesn't say I can't breathe without water. Or is this a bug?

Ah okay thx for the answer
Turtleren  [author] 8 Mar @ 7:04pm
No, that's not normal. I suspect it's a mod conflict of some sort, as I haven't had any issues when testing things out myself.
