Project 460 - Defender Corvette

Out with the old.....

Project 460 is the result of an ambitious effort to replace quick response craft, and other small combat vessels, throughout the entire Slipspace Engineering Corporate Empire.

Initially intended to be a 5th generation ram-sloop, the dimensions required by the deflector hull, would see Project 460 balloon to the size of a corvette.

Internally however, Project 460 still resembles a sloop and thus suffers from a general lack of redundant plumbing.

What it lacks in redundancy, P460 makes up for in handling, cost efficiency, and of course the S.E.C. 5th gen deflective design should it need to take an assault or artillery round head on.

Project 460 can easily make use of any existing infrastructure built around the outgoing Project 609 ( or other P511 variant ) corvettes.
