Description
Leading the workhorse of the past into a new era, VME’s Tyrfing-class Mk II Heavy Frigate is a potent multi-role warship, dedicated to face current state threats with modernized systems, a massive facelift and updated weaponry.


Key features
  • Survival-ready - Pressurized rooms, Cargo- and Oxygen-Storage, functional conveyor-network and easy to build. No subgrids, no clang.
  • Scriptless Airlocks & Auto-closing doors - Just some Event-Controllers. And Sensors. And Buttons…
    No way this will break, ever.
  • Decentralized Power supply - No dedicated engine-room. Clusters of small reactors and batteries are spread around the ship, providing redundancy and keeping the ship operational, even when heavily damaged.
  • Mission Equipment - Full-scale production-facilities, Event Controller, Programmable blocks and AI-systems are provided to prepare the ship for a large variety of tasks.
  • Small craft docking port - Comes with a small Utility Tug, but can also serve to park your fancy personal shuttle.
  • Heavy Armor support - Key-areas have been reinforced with heavy armor to increase survivability in combat.
  • Upgradeability & Repairability - Wherever possible, system blocks are made accessible for ease of repair and upgradeability.

Restrictions
  • Made for PVE - This ship was benchmarked for a small survival-server, combating Modular Encounters and Factorum-spawns. It is not advised to do PVP in this thing outside of a very restricted rules-set.
  • Not Planetary-approved - Built on a moonbase for the purpose of territory control. It can enter a gravity well, but is not suited to operate beyond 0.5G.
  • Jump-range limited to 1,400 km - This one’s for people who prefer to stay home and defend their little hill.


This item is survival-ready! It is fully conveyor-linked, thruster-damage compatible and uses no mods or subgrids.

Description
Being one of the first domestic warships designed and manufactured in the Tannhauser-Expanse, the old Tyrfing-class has gathered up an impressive service history in anti-piracy operations and ship-to-ship combat. Although she was soon outmatched by other warships that emerged from other factions in the sectors, the Tyrfing hull is still utilized in a variety of scenarios, requiring a cheap, barebones combat vessel.

The Mk II is an upgrade in every regard, featuring a revamped armor-concept, a facelift, extended interior, modernized mission-equipment, production facilities, hydrogen boosters and modernized weapon-systems.
As the Tyrfing was always intended to be as simple to operate and maintain as possible, the utilization of all these new features called for a creative approach in the design-process. In result, the hull was designed to provide easy access to all critical systems and components for repair, maintenance and upgradebility.
To further improve durability, special attention was given the redundancy and decentralization of control- and power systems throughout the ship, keeping it operational even after receiving heavy damage.

So I get a message when I load this blueprint that I am missing blocks. If I dont have everything unlocked in progression will that cause this?

I am sure you get this all the time but, I LOVE THIS! Even without my usual shield mod this ship is a beast in taking down the Factorum sites. After the Shipyard and Storage Facility the most damage I had was 2 Large Ion and 1 small Hydro thruster and some minor armor blocks surrounding the area as well as an Arty and Gat turret. Normally I would use a shield mod on a ship trying to run against the Factorum but this beast held up without it and brought me back home with some sweet prototech loot. The small tug tucked away in the back is pure gold. I did drop a few of the Artillery turrets in favor of the Assault Turrets since I am not swimming in Uranium just yet on my current play-through but even so it still dealt out a punishing amount of damage and took hits like a champ. This is rapidly becoming my favorite ship. Stellar work as always Taidyr!

Feel like i'm missing something, i own all the DLCs yet when i try to load this in, it states i dont have content enabled, and the lil ship in the back misses what i assume is the cockpit, any required mods?
