Extended Human Namelist

Kuvaus
The official update to MORE Human Name Lists!

Introduction
Have you ever felt like the vanilla namelists aren't long enough? Is there insufficient diversity for your tastes? Do you have NSC and want escort carriers to have ACTUAL names other than Escort Carrier 22 and want unique names for your battlecruisers? Then this mod is for you! Adding over 2000+ new names (I counted) and an all new naming scheme, Extended Human Name List ensures that you'll never run out of names!

Naming Scheme
  • Corvettes (>700 names): Female names, including English, Japanese, Arabic, Spanish, Indonesian names and more!
  • Frigates(>300 names): Mythical deities and weapons
  • Destroyers (>400 names): Historical destroyers
  • Cruisers (>800 names): Major cities and capitols from all around the world, Riyadh to Rotterdam, Norfolk to Nanjing, Barcelona to Boston (you get the idea right?)
  • Battlecruisers (>50 names): Major naval battles
  • Battleships (>350 names): Inspirational names like Invincible or Undaunted
  • Carriers (>300 names): Famous admirals and generals, look them up! They're all real bad-asses!
  • Dreadnoughts (>100 names): Mountains
  • Juggernauts (>30 names): Famous mythological dragons
  • Titans (>85 names): Planets, moons, and comets in our solar system
  • Colossus: Wrath of God
  • Flagship: Eve
  • Constructors: Car manufacturers
  • Science ships: Famous scientists
  • Exploration ships: Prestigious universities
  • And more!

Compatibility & Load Order
Using Extended Human Namelist breaks vanilla Human namelists when it comes to NSC class ships like Battlecruisers It may also break certain modded name lists depending on how they are coded.
Can be run purely on vanilla but is not Ironman compatible for the reason above.
You do, however, have to put MORE Human Name Lists BELOW NSC3 on the load order for your mods.

Not really sure how this would happen given the way the mod is coded but I'll give it a look. I'm assuming you ran it with just this and NSC. It's probable that the Stellaris 4.0 update rather than this mod broke the way NSC cruisers are working rn.

Causes a bug with NSC3 that breaks cruisers. They have a component slot with no possible components for it, thus you cannot a save a cruiser desing, and cannot build cruisers at all.

My mod changes the definition of NSC ship classes to look for name lists specific to their class. It DOES NOT break NSC if you use the correct load order. Consequently, it depends how the namelists are coded. In Cybrxkhan's case I believe it makes the names of NSC class default back the generic ship names, so you shouldn't see any change for most of their name lists. Not sure about the other mod. Certain vanilla namelists like the default human ones will be broken though since they attach names to ship classes and don't have any generic fallbacks. Other vanilla name lists like Fungoid do work since all the ship names are generic and apply to any class. Hope that answers your question.

I'm confused, does this break NSC3? What do you define as a vanilla names list? One that uses vanilla's file names? Does this break it https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=682691478

Does this? https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3243948764
