11 Days of Christmas Mission Pack

Description
This Pack Currently contains 4 MISSIONS. The First raid of Operation Linebacker II over Vietnam on the 18th of December and a Daylight version for easier enjoyment as well as the Sixth Raid on the 24th of Decemeber which saw the most Mig activity of the Operation. I may add more of the days but USAF operations during Linebacker II were pretty standardised.

My system is rather powerful so I'm not sure what average FPS the majority will get. For example there are only 45 B-52s in this entire mission where in real life 48 aircraft consisted of just the first wave of B-52s with another 2 waves of 45 and 36 aircraft respectfully for a total of 129 in 1 night for the first raid.

Mission Victory Condition:

For Day 1: Destroy the Logistics networks in Hanoi and Haiphong by B-52 strikes these are marked with the 2 green circles in one of the images for the Workshop Page and consist of the only actual Buildings for REDFOR on the map. It is recommended to use SEAD aircraft to ensure their protection as well as CAP against possible air threats.

For Day 6: Same deal only rather then logistical hubs your going for North Vietnamese Airfields. This day saw the most air action from the North Vietnamese so expect Migs.

REMINDER: The B-52s themselves have a path already pre planned according to Historical flight plans however they aren't tasked with engaging targets themselves, it is recommended for the best experience to wait until they reach their final waypoint into the Hanoi Area before designating the attack to each Wing. Remember they can only attack what they can see so ensure the SAM net is supressed enough to be able to get good Recon on targets before hand.

It is for this Recon reason and that I wanted these missions to be fun that you get the RA-5C in all of them, as it has good recon to ensure you get eyes on the Primary targets for the B-52s but also can be scarified if you wish without any impact on your operation. Plus it has no Air to Air Radar so it doesn't give away air intel.

The BLUFOR Airfield to the south is non functional due to Sea Power having a hard cap on based aircraft if there are already a lot in the air. Thankfully it seems the Carrier isn't effected by the same issue. in future I hope to represent Da Nang in this location.

The Missions are over either if you destroy the Buildings required at which point BLUFOR should get a Message telling you so or you've expended your ammunition, in theory this means the carrier as well so feel free to react dynamically to the situation and play around with the mission.

PSA: Having time to fully play through the night version and daylight versions for complete comparison its clear to me that it does seem that the Night itself helps hide US aircraft from the SA-2 sites once their main Search radars are damaged meaning while those missions are harder in some ways, they are easier in others.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------CHANGELOG:

Update 1.0:

-All B-52Ds now have their correct max payload of bombs
-Changes to Vietnamese Air Assets and Locations
-Removed 4th Airbase on Night/Day 6 mission. For whatever reason even with a Quarter or even a Half million tons of Bombs dropping on them some of the Air bases seem to refuse to die, unlike in DCS where you can set triggers to a "percentage" of Damage currently in Sea Power there is only "Target Destroyed" it is for this reason they I've made sure there is only 1 Air base per bomber formation, this with the extra bomb load should hopefully see more success

So the Mission pack is now at what I would call a 1.0 Release, having become familiar and fixed the issues with updating the thing on the Workshop I finally added the finishing touches that I noticed during that mess, the main one being B-52Ds loading the wrong playload and Airfields being simply too hard to destory, Normally I'd simply add more bombers to fix this issue but I feel like no one will be able to run it if I do.

Basically I can't add new files to the same existing folder and click the update existing button, needs to be an entirely new folder it seems. which is probably why it was trying to put in the whole damn game as a mod.

That should have fixed it, at least it was a lot quicker to redownload for me now

Hi @Southern-bear

Please check the latest version of the mod you have uploaded to Steam. When you uploaded the original/ game folder, it now takes up more than 4.5 GBs.

For Reference: I'm running a R5800X and RTX 3070 with 32GB of Ram, so I don't know how this will perform on less powerful PCs.
