Unite your Realm

Description
Overview:
Unite your Realm is a CK3 mod that enables you to merge two Duchies or two Kingdoms into a single title, making your rule over multiple territories more cohesive and rewarding. For Empires, there is no limit to mergers, allowing for even greater consolidation.

Key Features:
  • If your Primary Title is a Duchy, you can merge two Duchies. However, note that this process will destroy the Duchy Building slot of the Duchy you are merging.
  • If your Primary Title is a Kingdom, you can merge two Kingdoms. The individual Duchies within these Kingdoms will remain separate.
  • If your Primary Title is a Empire, you can merge multiple Empires. The individual Duchies and Kingdoms will remain separate.
  • The cost of merging titles varies depending on your Government Type and the rank of the titles you want to merge, requiring varying amounts of resources such as Prestige or Influence.
This mod provides another gameplay feature to merge your realm while introducing meaningful trade-offs, such as the loss of specific benefits like Duchy Buildings.

@Rocky You would need to make the byzantine empire, your primary title. The Varangian Guard is part of the Palace Politics culture tradition, and that one requires either Byzantine Empire or Roman Empire title.

Hi, just wanna know if I merge empire with byzantine, will I still be able to keep the Varangian guard that's from the byzantine empire title decision that allows you to recruit them as the emperor and the Varagian captain court position, or any of the decisions related to the empire title?

@IriKy, I considered these factors when making the decisions. Some aspects are true, but there are vanilla decisions, like 'Form the Swiss Confederation', that don’t even require independence. Also, these decisions aren’t used by the AI, so it’s just a matter of self-limiting to using them once or twice. Plus, for the Empire decision, you can simply ignore it if you don’t want to use it.

Good idea for this mod !
However, as other commentators said, it is in my opinion too easy to obtain the conditions to do it :
It would require much higher costs in money, prestige and faith points to do it (1000 for duchies, 2500 for kingdoms and 5000 for empire), be independent, have good relations with our head of faith (if exists) and with the emperor (Kaiser if Catholic [look like poland] or Basileus if Orthodox) for duchies and kingdoms.

Oh and an option to disable in the game rules the possibility of unifying empires (it's ahistorical) would be cool :D

Haven't tested the mod yet but i really like the idea. However i feel like the cost of Kingdom and especially Unification seems way too lose. i would at least triple the cost of the Empire Unification, and double the cost of the Kingdom Unification. (i just think it would be more balanced and realistic in that sense)

not sure if this was addressed already but ran into an issue after uniting several empires that Kings underneath my banner were saying I wasn't their rightful liege lord. Specifically I was Norway and my son was the King of France.

@the ball sleeper that should not be a issue though. I tested it, you can recreate the Head of Faith titles.

currently, this mod has an issue in that it will merge head of faith titles (since they are duchies) and delete it with the unite duchies decision, which can be solved with a limit for "is_head_of_faith = no" in the effect that shifts de-jure counties (and also one in the decision is_valid block)
