IW+ FASTR TREE PATCH

Description
This is a brute force patch for INTERACTIVE WORLD that will lose some of the shine of FASTR, but in essence I copied FASTR, matched up the foliage layers that were tree buildings in IW, reverted those changes, then merged that into this mod.

This does not account for the new FASTR trees which are only a small fragment of the total types. "Oh well, you're going to have to find something else to chop on." It does also not account for any other resources if they are having issues.

Brute force, but in my testing trees that were not working before are now. Please let me know any issues and I will work to tidy it up.

Put it after FASTR and run with it!
Check out my branch of IW, IWK+, it's a cleaned up more vanilla version of IW.

@ Canadian, I have made some progress on this. It is feeling tedious with the sun shining outside, but don't fear, Mandalf hears the cries of the people and he will deliver!

I do not know of such a map but would love to have it! I certainly do not know where all the IWK+ resources / plants are.

I did manage to begin a "Getting Started w/ IWK+" thread to help folks with the non-intuitive basics:

This would be greatly appreciated! You and Crunk are doing Gods work to modernize many of the old Kenshi mods that so many of us OG players love!

Is there a map anywhere of all the original resource nodes around the vanilla biome map? I sorta recall seeing one years ago...not sure if it actually exists or is a phantom of a memory, ha!

Yes! It's high on my list, but a daunting task to undertake. I will renew my efforts for this!

Would it be possible to help the process for a more permanent FASTR/IW patch come to fruition? I love both these mods and have them downloaded locally in my mod folder...often switching between and deactivating the former prior to certain playthroughs... Would be great to have both integrated! Quite a small audience for this as I see it, but I'd be happy to help in any way :)

ahh, thank you! so, raise these values and it should help with the nodes being accessible?

I couldn't figure out how to revert as a sub mod, cause it wouldn't show me what to revert to.

I will work with this information and improve this, thank you so much!

cool stuff, so i actually have a suggestion to make this work better. the main changes that FASTR makes to foliage that cause conflict with IWK are "vertical offset max" and "vertical offset min". this is what sinks foliage deeper into the ground, causing the usage nodes to be underground.

a big downside of making your own seperate fork of FASTR is that it will fall out of date as i make more optimizations and you will have to re-make it eventually. what I would instead do is find the foliage which conflicts, make a list of them, then edit their vanilla values for "vertical offset" to be .01 higher/lower, so it will revert these values back to nearly vanilla when loaded after fastr. this will be a non brute force way to accomplish what you wanna do <3
