September, 1943

The 45th US infantry division has reached the Oliveto Citra defensive line.

The Germans have dug in on a central defensive line cutting off access to the main road in an attempt to secure the local logging operations for the war effort.

Between the Church on the hill providing a natural vantage point, access to the central road and the local supply of lumber, this area will need to be secured.

Once secured, the allies can push through to San Angelo and onto Monte Cassino from there.

The map is inspired by a real world location (40.6950160995602, 15.220520530069246).

Starting off on higher ground, each team has their own distinctive path to take. Keep to the high ground to fight over the prominent church and vineyards, keep the central path to fight over the small hamlet and defensive line or take the low path to fight across forestry operations.

The map features a total of 45 fuel, 80 munitions, 4 strategic points and 3 victory points.

Relic's balance team provided feedback as part of the competition and suggested turning this to a 4v4

change notes:

* turned to 4v4
* levelled space and moved cliffs to support player base areas and provide sufficient space
* removed hedges as along the vertical axis to facilitate and encourage team cooperation and movement
* opened up the area near the lumber yard by creating openings and removing hedges
