With hostile void megafauna encounters on the rise, Colonial Recon Zone Navy excursion fleet command found that multi-function vessels capable of maintaining larger active crews were more effective in countering the evolving threat. To meet this mandate, the Cyron-class was deployed by the CRZN supporting larger active rosters with amenities like training holopods, an enhanced gym and more to keep an active crew fit and ready for whatever the void might unleash. Taking these higher rosters into account the Cyron-class is equipped with 18 escape pod bays fitted to M6 standard.

Originally designed as a heavy destroyer, the Cyron was modified to include a lengthened forward section accommodating banks of ventral missile tubes, each capable of launching a variety of ordinance such as cluster missiles and specialised torpedo shells. This tonnage increase along with a slew of additional upgrades led to the Cyron becoming re-classified as a cruiser after production commenced.

The vessel interior layout is interconnected between system module bays, two primary holds and a series of auxiliary sub-holds and magazines. Internally, cargo and ordinance can be shunted between the decks via an overhead magrail track. This network converges towards the ship's bow as it links with the missile bay.

Capable of launching escort fighters, dropships and shuttles via three hangar bays on Decks 5 and 6, the Cyron also facilitates ground deployments via an internal garage on Deck 8 connected via turbolift to the hangars and keel ramp on Deck 9.

A series of retractable multi-spec transmission masts further enhances the sensor clusters, providing high-resolution target analysis and communications.

Powerful inertial impellers mounted within the hull along with the mass-reducing gravity core grant the vessel a high degree of manoeuvrability, with clear-burning jets providing additional stability. The aft of the ship is dominated by the 8 secondary thrusters and a single primary engine capable of boosting the ship's sublight cruise above 220m/s.

Mounted radiator flaps and solar collectors can also be deployed to assist in managing the ship's thermal profile to better hide against the void, useful facing space-borne megafauna relying primarily on heat to track prey. The ship's cluster of transmitter masts also function as jammers and scramblers, capable of high-frequency bursts that can disorient exotic megafauna senses.

This particular ship is the CRZN "Geohan" DDR-030, painted in fleet colors as she appeared during the Yotenu campaign. The Geohan and her crew earned the Colonial Star of Bravery during the evacuation of Tollund station, remaining behind to assist right up until the last moment as the swarm approached.

Docked within the doomed facility, the Geohan was surrounded by multiple hungry tachyvores closing around the structure, blocking the station launch bay apertures in all directions as they began consuming the hull.

With the last evacuees safely aboard the Geohan deployed all remaining dazzler lures and blasted her way down the cavernous maw of a colossal alpha tachyvore, smashing through it's voidgill from the inside with a torpedo volley. The wounded creature's bellowing radio howl stunned the local swarm long enough for the Geohan to escape with over 1900 civilian lives aboard.

*DROP POD INSTRUCTIONS:
Load the drop pod via a spawner block and use the Connect Station tool to attach it to an available maglock inside the drop pod bay on deck 8 (just in front of the bottom centre heavy turret)

from inside the drop pod, delete the spawn block on the floor after ensuring both the pod maglock and attaching pod bay maglock are on. To launch, open the drop pod door, enter the pod and take one of the 4 seats, close the hatch and then unlock the maglock. If you'd like to ride, don't enter the pod's helm while above a gravity source such as a planet.

you have such a talent for ship designs. truly exceptional. I'm curious if you work as concept artist in real life?

Amazing ship and incredible love to details!
I just bought the game, how long would it (aproximitly) take to build a ship of this size, with that level of details?
