Description
This is a proof of concept for a worldbuilding project I've always wanted to make, but don't have the talent nor resources to commit to it. If it gets enough attention and experienced modders want to hop onto the project, maybe Paxium will become its own thing one day.
Naijarahn Village is a small farming community near between the borders of a massive, expansionist empire and a small nation fearing for its sovereignty.

There are invisible walls stopping players from going out of bounds.

Naijarahn Village was the scene of one of the earliest battles of the Invasion of Ocros, as part of the larger Battle of Aijura, an administrative region originally controlled by Krasavitsa before Ocros conquered the former nation over two decades prior. Aijura became a prime target by the Korskan Army, owed to its growing industrial scene that the Federation-supported forces saw as a high-priority target to cripple Ocros's war machine and hinder their attempt to counter with new weaponry.

Naijarahn was a small farming village in the midst of a planned Ocrosian project by industralist, Aslan Khoyski, to modernise the outer regions of Ocros in order to bolster the local and national economy, creating a somewhat dissonant clash of old, decaying wooden housing mixed in with more contemporary steel and concrete. As such, most of its population lived either within the outer reaches of Naijarahn Village in small farms or further north and east bordering other administrative regions (that were targeted by Korska's allies, Pechnia and Rozlakra), mostly congregating in Naijarahn for trade, as it was historically a mercantile vein connecting east and west Alteriya. Although Naijarahn was to receive farming equipment leased from an Uhketani trade deal, and was planned to be integrated into a large, industrialised town that connected communities (notably the neighbouring villages of Nagdek and Khaijar) as part of a joint investment from Karpan and Qiongcang, the Korskan attack on Naijarahn Village would spell the project's doom in this local village.

Preluding the attack, Korska had staged an invasion force nearby under the cover of darkness, obscured by the nearby forest and mountains. Despite reports of 'suspicious' sounds by Ocrosian locals, their warnings were mostly ignored, with some natives - descendant from the nations that Ocros had subjugated in the past - either turned a blind eye or, upon realising Korska's intentions, secretly began supporting them with whatever needs necessary in the short few hours before the attack commenced. In the morning, Korskan soldiers struck the village in transports and armoured cars (most of which were leased vehicles that saw fighting in the Kalian Uprising), with Ocrosian soldiers garrisoned near the village caught off-guard and severely unprepared. Although the fighting was fierce, the Korskan army quickly proved to be overwhelming, driving Ocrosian soldiers and loyal civilians alike out of the town. Following the successful takeover, Naijarahn would prove to be an important strategic supply route for the Korskan army, funneling supplies to Pechnia and Rozlakra from the larger powers of Breija and Aprus eastwards... though not without Korska intentionally pilfering some of the equipment for their own.



ISSUES
  • THIS MAP IS MEANT TO BE EAGLE-BIASED DUE TO LORE REASONS.[/b] The only way for Ravens to win is if the team bias is changed or if the player is able to mount an effective defence.
  • The AI will crash their vehicles into various places pretty frequently.
  • The map name doesn't load properly, so you'll have to find it based on the thumbnail.
  • Might take a while to load due to the amount of trees

Shi nvm I scrolled down the comments and saw the comment. but still, it doesn't really exist as a proof of concept of anything.
Some side notes: what optimisation steps have you taken? Did you place trees by hand (use GPU instancing on the materials for the tree), or did you mass place with terrain (check the materials are GPU instanced anyway)? Did you bake occlusion culling? What are the settings you used for occlusion culling? Smaller numbers mean better performance with occlusion culling settings.
Do your meshes have LoDs? If they don't, add LoDs to make sure they disappear when they are sufficiently distanced away to remove GPU overhead.

2) proof of concept of what? Proof of what? A proof of concept is a proof of something working or existing, so what's this a proof of?

Interiors will be in the next map. Naijarahn Village isn't made with the idea of interior combat and the Synty assets don't have good interiors either, but it WILL be in the next map.

It really is great and I can't wait for more! Could you make entering buildings by door (maybe even window) possible? That'd make the atmsphere of close combat more intense and create more dynamic battles
