Description
keywords: PVE, co-op, singleplayer, tower defence

INFORMATION
In this modified version of Langreskaya, you'll have to defend agains several waves of AI. They spawn on multiple points on the map, and will move to the other side following a path. When they reach the end, your team loses. If you kill them all, you win. Easy.

Expect incoming paratroopers, units spawning in buildings and sneak attacks. Also expect bombing runs and artillery. Your base defences, mines and tank traps can and will be destroyed, and units blocking AI units will lose health. Best is to stay out of the way, or use uber micro to block-and-run.

We aim at making the maps doable on your own on easy, with a full team it should be possible to beat hard. Let us know when you beat hardest, we never did that...

USAGE
This map only works with the official AOD mod, take the following steps to play this mod:
- Subscribe to the mod (link below)
- Subscribe to this map
- Start a new multiplayer lobby
- Pick this map
- Pick "Art of Defence" as victory condition
- Use fixed positions
- Place an AI on the top spot in team 2
- Pick a spot on team 1
- Play!

DIFFICULTY
By changing the AI difficulty, you also influence the difficulty of the map:

EASY
AI units can be suppressed and won't shoot at you. You'll start with high resources and upkeep is low. Also you'll start with 20 command points. You'll have a high popcap and improved sight.

NORMAL
AI units are a bit prone to suppression and will shoot at you. You'll start with high resources and upkeep is low. Also you'll start with 10 command points. You'll have a high popcap and improved sight.

HARD
AI units cannot be suppressed and will shoot at you. You'll start with normal resources and upkeep is normal. Also you'll start with 5 command points and you'll have a normal popcap.

HARDEST
AI units cannot be suppressed and will shoot at you. You'll start with low resources and upkeep is high. Also you'll start with 0 command points and you'll have a low popcap.

That's great, but could you make a single player map please?

I agree, but I wanted to work around the camping tactics and force people to mobilize and anticipate. Now only 1 sturmtiger will spawn in wave 12, which should be easy to deflect.

Let me know what you guys think of the new balance.

That was the only comlain i had, the sturmtigers that spawn in your base, But if you insists of having sturmtigers, just let them spawn somewhere else so people can use some dodgy ( and fun?) tactics to kill them without to much damage to your defence.

the explosion of a sturmtiger is just a bit to strong to spawn right into your base and sure, we would be able to kill them ( we did in fact.. ) but the wave on its own is hard enough to deal with without having 35% of your troops getting killed by 1 sturmtiger shot.. and not able to rebuild your army because a important building has been blown up.

Sorry that i was a bit late with giving feedback and yes i know that you've changed it now, but just wanted to tell my opinion about sturmtigers:(

I didn't look at this map yet after adding new features. I have some time the following days and I agree that it needs some balancing. Thanks for your feedback.

I played this map with nioneel a few times after the 'wave 12 update'.
Now this map is impossible to beat on hard (don't let me talk about expert).
The sturmtigers will destroy your defense before you can kill them, you also need anti tank units to aim for the road.
I personally don't like the whole idea of the sturmtigers wich spawn in your base at wave 12 to destroy all your defenses.

I think with the upcoming AOD update, it will be hard enough, even without the sturmtigers.

I agree Nioneel. The transition between the waves is a bit off. What do you guys think of trying hard difficulty Rails and Metal with us? I want to test it properly but basically, where do I find the time and the players...? ANd I mean good players...You guys would be perfect to help us with that.

it would be fun to play the same map again while it feels that it plays so much different.

This is my experience so far with the map:
with how we are playing the map the waves between 5 and 10 feels pretty weak while the transition between wave 9 and 10 is almost impossible without the PAK43 AT-gun and even with that its almost impossible (atleast how we played it..thats the most important reason why we choose that commander ).
But if you can survive wave 5, you probably will survive the next 3/4 waves because they are only infantry and light vehicles ( we already had AT-infantry so the light vehicles were a joke and you will probably build more AT between wave 5 and 10 )
