Biome Food Expansion (Continued)

Description
Important Info
This is a fork of Hade's original mod: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/workshop/filedetails/?id=1984752079

I claim no ownership of this mod, if requested by the original owner, this mod will be taken down. The original owner is free to use the modifications I've made for their own mod.

Quick Message
This is one of my favorite mods and since its been a while since Hade made any sort of update, I thought I'd make a fork to make small additions and changes requested by the community.

I am by no means a professional in FCS or modding in general, so updates and changes may be slow. I only did this because dried food items not having their own storage was ruining my automation and life.

I only did minor testing considering how little I changed. If you run into any issues that you didn't run into while using the original mod, please let me know in the Bug Reporting board. I'll see what I can do, no promises though.

What's New?
-Trade goods (Sugar, Pepper, Salt, Cinnamon, Vinegar, Gin, and Oil) profitability has been majorly nerfed. Some trade goods only benefit from a price increase of 10.5% compared to their original 70%. If you really want some value, you'll have to travel to areas of high demand.

-Desert Cinnamon has received a price nerf to bring it in line with other trade good production items however ground cinnamon received a slight profitability buff (1.5% -> 4.5%) to make the values similar to hemp pepper.

-Water has been reverted to it's original value. (150 -> 50)

FAQ
Can I change the original mod with this one without breaking my save?

Yes! First, no matter what, please save a backup and keep it on hand for a couple weeks, just in case. I don't want you to lose a long-term playthrough!

Ideally, you'd deconstruct everything related to the original mod and drop all related items on the ground. Then move all your characters out of render from all major towns. Then save, exit out, and import that save to despawn all related items. Save, exit, and add this mod and remove the previous one.

All that is a bit excessive but better safe than sorry. But, if you really want to risk it, my personal save file loaded just fine during testing when they were switched. But, I'd still do a quick import to fix any potential issues with traders. Also make sure to save that back up, you've been warned!

I'm sure you've answered these questions yourselves already but if not-

@Armchair Civilian - The mod does not include any way to get a large quantity of fish, you'd have to install a fishing mod to gain access to a renewable supply.

@G0UD13 - All foods are craftable and many of the recipes within make use of the spices (which you can also cultivate). You can also sell them at a lucrative mark up in areas which they are difficult to acquire.

Glad to see you're doing well, Hade! I'd be flattered if you wanted to add a link on the original mod, if only to let people find it easier.

The variety looks good. Are the foods craftable? Are the spices usable?

Awesome mod, love the variety

Thank both of you for your stellar work, t've been looking for something that did this for too long!
One question - is there a way to farm fishies included with the mod, or do we have to buy them (or is Crows world conflicting lol)

Hey there, I was just scrolling through the workshop thinking of coming back to Kenshi after years for another playthrough potentially and I must say I'm pretty flattered finding out someone found my old work good enough to continue working on it or just fixing some mistakes/decisions stupid 18 year old me made because he didn't fully understand how the whole FCS thing worked and just wanted to turn an idea into reality lol, I'm 23 now.. Damn, time just flies by.

Anyways, I fully support any additions or changes you make to my mod, thank you!
I can also link your version on my mod's page if you like.

I did a little test with the original mod.
I reset the water to its original price.
It caused a 'lot' of stuff to have the price drop.
Some food items like bread (including foods from other mods), stuff like grog (and drinks added by mods), cotton and fabric, (which also lowered cost of stuff like bandages).

So that one little change made by the original mod, of tripling the base value of water, made a 'lot' of stuff more expensive.

Would really appreciate a similar fork for Expansion of Food Culture! Thanks for the great mod!

I did a little looking over the Wiki, to see what farmed crop can be made into what, to look for a pattern, and found one common factor.
Food.

The three that do not have Water listed, are ingredients for food items.
Where the ones that have Water listed, are not ingredients for food items. This technically includes Wheatstraw, since Strawflour is itself not a food item, but an ingredient for food items.
(re-post, darn lack of edit function)
