MULTV12 Osteodontornis class Shuttle

In 1 collection by Wimpoman
Military Utility/Logistics/Transport Vehicles Series by Wimpomanufacturing
18 items
Description
Mod/Scenario - None (Vanilla)

The twelfth in my series of Military Utility/Logistics/Transport Vehicles is the Osteodontornis class Shuttle.
This "full size" shuttle is a short-range transport shuttlecraft with seating for six (2 pilot seats & 4 passengers).

Door Operation:
Outer Door - Automatic (motion sensor controlled).
Ramp - Automatic (motion sensor controlled).
Inner Door - Automatic (motion sensor controlled).

Upgrade/Adaptability Space
Two 5x1x1 slots in the nacelles (accessible through the access shutters on top of each nacelle). Space in nacelles can be expanded by removing the steel "lag shot armour" blocks (outboard of the upgrade slots) and the steel blocks below the upgrade slots too. At the cost of passenger transport, removing the passenger seats, cargo boxes, O² Tanks, etc, plus the (mostly) carbon composite blocks "behind" those, will provide space for a Warp Drive (removing the same on the opposite side will allow the rear-most 1k SU Cargo Container on that side to be expanded to 5k).

Alternate Paints
As shown in the above screenshots, the colour palette includes 4 primary colours to choose from: Khaki Tan (vehicle comes in this colour); Camouflage Green; Light Blue-Grey; Dark Blue-Grey. To swap the colour, simply click on the "Replace Mode" check box on the Colour And Texture Tool's UI, then (ensuring that no texture is selected) click on the coloured square that you want to change to, then "fire" the Colour & Texture Tool at any part of the vehicle that is painted the colour you want to replace.

- NOTE - any Mini Fridges on board come turned off by default to save power until food is inside needing to be kept cold, and can only be turned off manually (or by turning off all power to the vehicle) from the fridge's own UI to limit instances of food being accidentally spoiled.

Nice! I noticed there were about 10 -12 of your designs on the workshop Most Popular page today - congratulations! Always looking forward to more builds!

Hello again. ;)
Yep - the signature "Wimpomania Line" that I've just begun refitting and adding to will have an HV miner, an SV miner and 2 CV miners, then the "Blue Collar Solutions Line" that'll come after will have the same, and eventually I'm also planning a "Winged Insects Line" and a "Zodiac Line" which will have a few in each too.

I found it pretty easy to adapt this shuttle for asteroid mining, do you intend a dedicated miner perhaps similar to the Ox? I added two laser drills outboard of the forward pointing thrusters and replaced both aft controllers with harvest controllers. Great little run about!
