Welcome to Reel's Turret Pipeline!

After thousands of hours playing RimWorld, I always felt that turrets could be more efficient. While working on a rebalance patch, an idea sparked - what if turrets could connect to a pipe network that automatically refills their ammo? Manually rearming turrets is not only time-consuming but also dangerous for any colonists involved.

With this mod, that problem becomes a thing of the past! Connect your colony's defenses to an ammunition pipe network and ensure your turrets are always fully stocked, ready to face any raid - so long as you have enough ammo on hand.

This mod also includes full compatibility with all known Vanilla Expanded mods, allowing you to connect the pipe network to Sentry turrets, HMG complexes, and more!









  • Vanilla Expanded?
    Currently patched to work alongside Vanilla Furniture Expanded: Security and Vanilla Factions Expanded: Ancients.

    I don't plan on patching the mechanoid turrets from Vanilla Factions Expanded: Mechanoids, as I feel the component cost makes them unique compared to the other turrets.


    I also don't plan to patch the massive turrets from Vanilla Factions Expanded: Deserters, I think the ammo structures that mod adds is cool enough to keep untouched.

  • Combat Extended?
    Not compatible I believe, I don't play with Combat Extended.

  • Rim-Effect?
    Currently patched with both the Legacy and Renegade versions of Rim-Effect (which is available only on the GitHub)

  • More Vanilla Turrets?
    Currently patched on their end. Thanks Zal!

  • AOBA's mods? (Fortification series, Dead Mans Switch, ect.)
    Not patched, I don't use those mods so I'm not interested in patching them at the moment.
    However, it is easy to get this mod to work with other mods, all you have to do is copy the setup I have in the patch folder.

    This also applies to any other mods that add turrets to the game. If I'm not using them, I probably won't patch them.

    Feel free to upload any necessary patches.


  • Can you patch [X] mod?
    No, sorry. This mod was made to work with mods I play with myself.

    If you want to make your own patch, it's extremely easy - look into the patch folder, make a copy and then make sure the defname and mod name is the same as the mod you want to patch.


  • How do I obtain Turret ammunition?
    You can craft it at the Machining bench, after researching Gun turrets.

  • Safe to add/remove?
    You should be able to, but if it breaks anything let me know.

  • Is this mod compatible with Combat Extended?
    Probably not.

  • Can you make a 1.4 version?
    Never. It's time to move on with the times, old man.
    (97% of your modlist has been updated for 1.5, anyways.)

CE compat would require me to remake this mod from scratch, and ditch the VE framework in favor of new original code.

I am not a programmer, I would rather let CE make their own iteration of this mod. They are more than free to do so.

I don't even thought I wanted or need this mods, in fact I actually avoid this kind of mod, plus the facial and storage mods (just ogrestak ez) however I can't just NOT install everything from a modder that is not only updating extremely fast but also fulling its steam workshop with amazing GIFSSS

great mods pal! I do have to say that this compatible with CE would be HUGE, but I understand CE adds a loooot of work for something you do for fun, and doesn't help the other people think they are paying you being so salty, if you feel like adding compat at some point, would be HUUGE

But the mod is great as it is as every other you've done!
