Condensed Animated HUD | Pleasant Orange Edition

Description
Condensed Animated HUD, now in an eye-pleasing orange.

• A more compact vanilla HUD with a few extra features, such as HUD elements flashing colors when activated and special damage icons like Half-Life 1.

• Now combined with Gunner's "PLEASANT ORANGE HUD" mod, giving it a neat orange hue and making it even closer to HL1.

• I've made an alternative version of this mod with Classic VGUI. Check it out.

--- Features ---

• Smaller, compacted overall HUD size.

• Weapon Selection Panel no longer contains text names.

• Poison Indicator replaced by the Special Damage Indicator - displays a HL1-inspired icon and message on the HUD relevant to the special damage type received (burning, poison, drowning, radiation).

• Cooler font: Alte DIN 1451 Mittelschrift.

• HUD elements become highlighted based on user action.

• Health Counter flashes green/orange when gaining health, and flashes red when damage is taken or health is low.

• Suit Counter flashes blue/orange when gaining suit charge, and flashes red when damage is taken or charge is low.

• Auxiliary Power flashes orange upon being used.

• Ammo Counter flashes orange when weapon reloaded/switched, or when ammo is acquired.

• Weapon Selection menu flashes orange when opened or when selecting.

• Squad Status flashes orange when members join, and red when members leave/die.

• HUD panels in general now animate together based on context.

• Upon reaching zero, the Suit bar will shrink and the Health Counter will extend to take its place, along with showing an "ARMOR COMPROMISED" message that slowly flashes amber until power is reacquired.

• If selected weapon uses secondary ammo (SMG Grenades, AR2 Energy Balls), the Ammo Counter extends accordingly.

• The Key Hint panel will slide out from the side of the screen when showing a hint.

• The Special Damage Indicator moves up or down depending on whether Auxiliary Power is being used.

• Weapon Selection panel will subtly slide down from the top of the screen when summoned.

• As squadmates are sent to a location, the "SQUAD FOLLOWING" message on the HUD and Squad Status panel will shrink to hide the message.

--- Bugs n' Fixes ---

• If basic Workshop installation does not work, you may have to work with manual installation via a 'custom' folder. You will have copy or move the .vpk files of this mod's specific Workshop folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\220\3425190846) into the custom folder located inside of the game-specific folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Half-Life 2\hl2\custom).

If the custom folder doesn't already exist, you'll have to create and rename it.

• The Commentary panel is effectively eliminated with this mod. The audio itself is fine, but the HUD element with the bar and icon are GONE.

• The Hints panel will sometimes be higher up than intended.

• The main menu title for Lost Coast will appear broken. To fix, navigate to the Condensed Animated HUD folder or .vpk and open the file: "resource\clientscheme.res" with a text editor. Find the "ClientTitleFont" line and follow the instructions written there.

• This mod will not work with any other mod that changes the following files:

"resource/clientscheme.res"
"scripts/hudanimations.txt"
"scripts/hudlayout.res"
"resource/halflife2.ttf"
"resource/HL2EP2.ttf"
"resource/HL2MMod.ttf"
"resource/valve_english.txt"

Some issues that have happened because of other mods changing these files include messed up crosshairs and HUD fonts (such as "HEALTH" displaying as a "+"). Make sure that no other mods being used are changing these files, or else the HUD will not work properly.

for some reason the aux power is pink now

When I have this mod installed during the Highway 17 chapter. When I push the Combine APC off the cliff on the map d2_coast_05 to disable the blue energy barrier blocking the road, the APC falls into the water, but the cable connecting the APC to the power line above doesn't break, leading to the barrier not deactivating and it remains active.
