Blindness & Blindfolds

Description
A Mod which adds a Single new Physical Defect, Blindness! Blindness sets your Viewable Tile Range to 0, making you only able to see tiles directly adjacent to you.

In addition, this mod reworks and remakes my Original Blindfolds! Mod, find Blindfolds around the world which, while also acting the same as having the Blindness Mutation, also grants bonuses to Ego and Willpower!

@tagrimo no, because thats more an internal problem with how qud is programmed than how the mutation works itself. Apologies

Is this planned on being fixed?

The clairvoyance mutation doesn't seem to work well with sunder mind when using this mod. Using clairvoyance will reveal the space to the player, but only areas within one tile of the player can be interacted with. This includes the "look" function, as well as attacking enemies with sunder mind; they cannot be attacked unless you are within one tile of them, even when they are within the area revealed by clairvoyance.

my mod was also in the new ones... all mods with more than a good idea get to the main page

mod could be an actual fun challenge with clairvoyance and heightened hearing, but you cant see the tiles diagonal of you so auto explore doesn't work, would be a lot better if you could see one square diagonal

finally i can larp as Satoru Gojo in Qud
How many mutants and aliens are out there walking around eyeless or blind? Definitely cool to be able to play as one for the challenge.

@Wakko Makes a great point.

Maybe I wrong, but we have sense of touch. Doesn't 1 Viewable Tile Range makes more sense?
