Description

A Modification that Replaces AI Coop Bots that are spawned via Cheats

MAIN FEATURES
- Bots lead the way 
- Bots only depend on themselves and player in case the player lags behind
- Full Multiplayer Coop support with up to 4 Players and 8 to 12 Bots
- Bots trigger Detectors as well as progress way further
- Capability to beat the level alone without player's involvement (NOT ALWAYS)
- Improved Bot skills as close as possible to match the Player's Controller
- Bots change weapons based on how many enemies are present, how tough they are, as well as managing ammo when it is necessary 
- Bots try their best to search entire map for loot as well as trigger certain secrets



KNOWN ISSUES
-Bots do not use Gadgets (To prevent them from getting into endless cycle or nav idle loops, they were disabled in their behaviour)
- Bots do not know how to use certain doors (Some areas causes infinite idle loop. To prevent them to go into this state I've removed certain path markers, which makes them ignore the doors, thus running into them till player is involved)
- Bots do not go after certain Side Quests or Secrets (To prevent infinite idle loop I've disabled certain navigation points)
-Bots do not take vehicles (To prevent them stealing vehicles from players I've made them not to use Vehicles, as well as original maps only provide 4 Vehicles and since the bots work like a Hive Mind they can only see one vehicle at a time that is not an array)
- Bots do not know how to use Skill Points (Did not see any way to make them use Skills)
- Bots wait for a Player in certain areas, instead of progressing (Some Areas require Player's involvement)


CHANGES THAT WERE MADE

-  Decreased their Reaction time
-  Bot's Aiming is more run and gun instead of aim and shoot in bursts
- Bot's Behaviours have been modified to match the Test Bots (Means it will no longer rely on NPC follow Markers, Instead they will act on their own)
-Adjusted their Kill Percentage to the max (Means they are more likely to gun down hordes of enemies without shooting in slow and precise bursts) 

THERE ARE VIDEOS ON WORKSHOP PAGE ON HOW TO SPAWN THEM IN, AS WELL AS SEEING THEM IN ACTION.
Tested on Steam Deck and Rog Ally X. Everything should work fine and if not let me know what kind of issues you experienced during your playthrough. I've only tested their functionality with 10x Simulation speed on my main PC.

𝐖𝐇𝐀𝐓 𝐃𝐎𝐄𝐒 𝐈𝐓 𝐑𝐄𝐏𝐋𝐀𝐂𝐄?
AI Coop Bots as well as all Original PB Campaign levels. Any mods that replaces AI Bots within Player's Parameters will not work with this mod. As well make sure you do not have any mods that replaces or adjusts original Levels.

@twilightbestpony No worries. You can also spawn bots in other Serious Sam games. If you stick to Fusion 2017 variant. Which means The First Encounter, The Second Encounter and BFE. Right now, at the time of writing, best bot performance is in BFE Game Title of Project Never Alone. I haven't prepared TFE and TSE bot improvement variants yet. Thank you for the comment!

I apologize for my lack of knowledge, I didn't even know you can spawn bots in SS4. That's 2 things you thought me today lol.

@twilightbestpony Why thank you so much for the comment! The whole purpose of this mod is to make them act independently. If you want them to follow you then it's best if you stick to Vanilla Serious Sam Bots. You can spawn them in the same way as in this mod. Vanilla bots just follow the player or stand still. That's all there is to them honestly.
Yes it is possible to make them follow the player, but personally I think it would kill the Multiplayer experience.

Just bought SS4 today because of the sale & came across this mod. Didn't even cross my mind to play with bots lol. It works flawlessly & helps me a lot. Any chance to add an option to make the bots follow the player around or is it not possible because of the loop thingy.

Anyway, its a great mod & thanks a lot

@HAPPYBOY9427 I certainly can. Not a hard work since the base is already there. If anything goes then that'd be an update allowing users to play Survival with bots. Right now I have other projects to finish, as well as studying bots further, by messing with their world perception and other schemes that make them who they are now.
I may also release a tutorial on how to use them in your own projects. But that's in the future. Thank you for the comment.

Maybe you could make them work in Survival i very rarely do the campaign but 99% of the time so uh it would help A BUNCH:steamhappy:
