Description
Are you tired of going back to this morning with tons of debuff moodles after game crashing?
Have you ever experienced items duplicating or disappearing after game crashing?
Do you feel there are too many zombies after game crashing?
Or, Do you feel sad when you took all of your guns and ammo to raid the military base, but when you reached the base, game crashed and all zombies were disappearing?

Then Try This Mod!

This mod saves your game data from RAM to HDD/SSD while you are playing your game.
If you want to see how this mod is working, see the below section.

This mod saves:
  • Animal data (apop folder)
  • Zombie data (zpop folder)
  • Radio data (radio folder)
  • Chunk data (chunkdata folder)
  • Meta grid (metagrid folder)
From your RAM, Which has a chance of not saving when crashing,
To your HDD/SSD, which ensures saving even after a crash.

Note1:
this mod is not creating new backup folder. your main save world will be only one like Vanilla.

Note2:
like I said right above, this mod does only saving your files. there's no such a "Load" feature. this mod is not about creating backup files or loading previous saves!

Note3:
this mod does not prevent crashes and initializing. this mod just helps a little from the gap between. You will never recover the exact position and data after a crash (this is a Vanilla limitation). Also, if you already had corrupted data then this mod can do nothing.
For example, if there was any kind of corruption, PZ will reset your chunk and this means you will lose your data permanently!

Mod Options
Enable Logs:
Enable log above of your character after trying to save. If it has skipped, will display the reason of skipping

Enable Auto Save:
If this is not checked, you can only save the file by key pressing. If you are worrying about lagging when saving, Disable this and use manual saving only.

Auto Save Interval(In-Game Minute):
`60` means mod try to save your file in every 60 minutes.

Auto Save Interval(Zombie Spawn Count):
`500` means mod try to save your game when every 500th zombie has been created. Set this to 0 if you want to disable. If count is too low, mod will try to save too frequently. if count is too high, you have chance missing spawned zombies after crashing.

Auto Save Interval(Zombie Kill Count):
`100` means mod try to save when you killed 100th zombie. Set this to 0 if you want to disable.

Maximum Skip Count:
When mod skipped auto saving by any reason, mod counts how many time they has skipped from last save. If count is reached max count, mod will force save your game. Set this to 0 if you want to disable force saving.

Manual Save Key Bind:
You can perform save by key pressing manually. this will reset all counts as well. (Skip count, Zombie Count and Timer)

Compatibility & Performance
There's 0% of compatibility issue with other mod. I'm sure.
There should be lagging issue when mod saves your data into HDD/SDD. likely less than 0.5 seconds. If you don't like lagging, then use manual save only.

QnA
So, how does this mod work?
It simply uses the save(true) function, which already exists in Vanilla PZ, which is used when player wakes up.

Hey, I'm worried that I might crash my car while saving, since saving causes a bit of lag!
First, you can use manual save when you are safe.
Second, This mod detects dangerous situations, and will skip saving if it's too dangerous.

For example, mod will not save while you are driving your car with high speed.
Also mod will not save if you are fighting with zombies, or zombies are too close.
To be honest, it's not perfect, but in my experience, it worked just fine.

What? Why did you make this weird stuff? Do I even need this?
Mostly, no. But keep in mind, some players use low-spec PCs.
While B41 ran fine on lower specs, B42 requires a more powerful PC, meaning players may experience more CTDs.
It's same for me too. I sometimes play PZ with my old laptop and... yes.

Also, if you are planning to raid the Louisville then why not?

Big Thanks to Bread[theindiestone.com] who is Tech Supporter of the The Indie Stone. He told me the exact reason of missing data after game crashed, I could make this mod.

Sorry for late reply, I'm really busy these days.
Also to @La Cem Yılmış La, Can you explain how this mod is not working at the moment? I even can't open my PZ since 42.7 - 42.8, however I can do some patch with my codes.
N0wh3re  [author] 28 Jul @ 6:22pm
@lb this mod made for more frequently saving, because when your world crashed, some information sometimes failed to save as file.
let me example a case, when your game crashed and lost data of item location within last 8 in-game hours, however you set this mod saves your data every an hour, then you will lost the data only an hour amount.
and you understood right, restarting game will do same thing as this mod.
The point is, this mod didn't made for preventing game crash as I wrote in description. To prevent crash, first you have to upgrade your system, and also have to maintain your resources until game become stable.

Один из самых бесполезных модов про якобы сохранение. Нихрена он не сохранит, время в игре просто напросто сбросится из-за случая технических проблем.

For those who don't understand, I'll give an example: Let's say that before the crash, you exit the game manually like everyone else does, and then the game is saved, right? Ok, go back into the game and this time don't leave, stay until the game crashes, did it crash? Don't worry, go into your old save, oh wait! The old save was replaced by the crash save......

Again, this mod doesn't do anything.

For everyone who has old video cards like my GT 610, put everything on minimum, resolution, Windows 8 comp, mods like better fps, texture optimization, set the fps limit to 30... Delay the crash time as much as possible and calculate the average time when this happens, after about 5 hours in game? 10? One day? Exit the game at some point to reset the VRAM, and at the same time make a Backup!

Someone should create a mod that cleans up this accumulated VRAM that integrated cards and old video cards can't support/delete, a dream, but who knows.

It doesn't make sense. The mod saves every hour, but what's the point? If there's no backup of the save? When this poorly optimized game crashes after the accumulation of VRAM on the video card's GPU, the game saves, and unfortunately, when you return to the save, everything bugs out, items, zombies, time... At the beginning of the mod's description, this is made clear. When I read this, I thought it would solve my problem, but then it says that the mod doesn't create a backup, but saves "over the top". Again, what will this help? At least for me, every crash that happens that closes the game, the game SAVES, a save from an hour ago, a save after killing x zombies, a save after 10 jumps... ALL of this won't help, it makes no difference...

Its take auto save. And after 20 seconds i do manual save. After saving i exit to desktop. Sometimes lag happens in the game. Nvm. I rejoined my save. And its kicked me 2 hours before. Where i can found save file? Because all what i got all is gone. Buildings are clear. But i loot so much things and there is nothing i have now. Any backup files ? @N0wh3re ?

@DreezyMoto
I've never had issue with zombie corpses so guess you mean player's corpses?
it will be saved. (guessing because never tested)just make sure you hit "manual save key" after you died.
DreezyMoto 18 Mar @ 1:13am
awesome, is it possible for this to be able to save corpse data as well?
