Also to @La Cem Yılmış La, Can you explain how this mod is not working at the moment? I even can't open my PZ since 42.7 - 42.8, however I can do some patch with my codes.

@lb this mod made for more frequently saving, because when your world crashed, some information sometimes failed to save as file.
let me example a case, when your game crashed and lost data of item location within last 8 in-game hours, however you set this mod saves your data every an hour, then you will lost the data only an hour amount.
and you understood right, restarting game will do same thing as this mod.
The point is, this mod didn't made for preventing game crash as I wrote in description. To prevent crash, first you have to upgrade your system, and also have to maintain your resources until game become stable.

For those who don't understand, I'll give an example: Let's say that before the crash, you exit the game manually like everyone else does, and then the game is saved, right? Ok, go back into the game and this time don't leave, stay until the game crashes, did it crash? Don't worry, go into your old save, oh wait! The old save was replaced by the crash save......

Again, this mod doesn't do anything.

For everyone who has old video cards like my GT 610, put everything on minimum, resolution, Windows 8 comp, mods like better fps, texture optimization, set the fps limit to 30... Delay the crash time as much as possible and calculate the average time when this happens, after about 5 hours in game? 10? One day? Exit the game at some point to reset the VRAM, and at the same time make a Backup!

Someone should create a mod that cleans up this accumulated VRAM that integrated cards and old video cards can't support/delete, a dream, but who knows.

It doesn't make sense. The mod saves every hour, but what's the point? If there's no backup of the save? When this poorly optimized game crashes after the accumulation of VRAM on the video card's GPU, the game saves, and unfortunately, when you return to the save, everything bugs out, items, zombies, time... At the beginning of the mod's description, this is made clear. When I read this, I thought it would solve my problem, but then it says that the mod doesn't create a backup, but saves "over the top". Again, what will this help? At least for me, every crash that happens that closes the game, the game SAVES, a save from an hour ago, a save after killing x zombies, a save after 10 jumps... ALL of this won't help, it makes no difference...

Its take auto save. And after 20 seconds i do manual save. After saving i exit to desktop. Sometimes lag happens in the game. Nvm. I rejoined my save. And its kicked me 2 hours before. Where i can found save file? Because all what i got all is gone. Buildings are clear. But i loot so much things and there is nothing i have now. Any backup files ? @N0wh3re ?

I've never had issue with zombie corpses so guess you mean player's corpses?
it will be saved. (guessing because never tested)just make sure you hit "manual save key" after you died.

All I can say is: When you quick saved then all files will be saved immediately.

I don't(can't) guarantee anything about after action. like, if force closing your laptop can cause any corruption, then some of files can be destroyed.
(I also just use Alt+F4 all the time but I had no issue but still, this does not guarantee anything. at your own risk.)

Hello, I am curious about this mod, lets say I was playing the game and I had to shutdown my laptop completly before exiting the game, if I were to quicksave before that, would all my stuff be saved? Or will it vanish?

This mod is about as useful as tits on a boar. It does save (while lagging the game as it does), but I was under the impression that your save would provide a point where you could pick up before you were killed. As it turns out, all your save data is saved upon your death, which ironically is the same damn thing as the vanilla version of the game. Took me a few games of being absolutely dry humped out of a great character to figure this out. 1 star (not recommended). If there is some sort of game option I'm missing, please tell me.

@suzinistherealjuno idk what you mean. but if you are talking about reviving or re-loading or something, then you are correct.
This mod only saves data, and that's all what this mod does. also this mod does not save player data since PZ already saves player data on a second.

@N0wh3re I'm not sure how the vanilla saving works but the only fix was to close the game after sleeping or when I felt that it started to slow down. Right now i have a lot of items on the floor in my base and I crash by just being in my base. Trying to organize them in containers to see if it helps.

This will be detrimental to my strategy of demolishing boxes in warehouses.

Thank you for sharing your opinion, Since I have no knowledge of tech things(RAM, VRAM, etc..) it was hard to recognize the reason myself alone.
Honestly, there should be nothing I can do even I figured out the reason, However, I'm curious person. and It was really curios why people experienced less CTD with my mod. :)

By the way, this is completely out of topic, but is there anyway to contact you about Gunfighter? I mean, I've tweaked your code so much when I'm on B41, so if i share my code later, could be helped? like, my gunfighter didn't have to press key manually to change magazine type.

You are the 4th people who feedback exactly same thing. So now I'm 40% sure most of CTD caused by ram, and saving in mid game probably clear ram memory, which means can reduce CTD. Very thank you for detail feedback.

@nononon... I've seen so many reports of sudden Insta-CTD... unfortunately TIS's first instinct is to blame it on mods and insist that there are no memory issues. But the truth is, B41 never crashed so hard, with ANY mod. Im not so sure that saving would alleviate the phenomenon, only because I've had CTD on fresh savegame load... within minutes... and other times only after hours of (not-so-intense) game play.

There is Definitely something wrong with memory handling when you have a huge pile of corpses... Inventory menu just chokes. If that's not a memory handling issue I don't know what is.

Good stuff @N0Wh3re... It's unfortunate that something like this is even needed. B42 Insta-CTD that time warps back and removes items + corpses + vehicles, really is a buzzkill. So Thank you sir for this.

I've noticed that my game crashes in longer intervals and differently since starting to use this mod. It is mostly a VRAM crash now when the game has used up all 8 GB of VRAM. Before my whole system would lock up as the game had also exhausted all of the available RAM in my system. Maybe the in game save function releases some stuff in memory that it otherwise doesn't.

Maybe placebo or different playstyle in new save.

@N0wh3re this mod is amazing and has saved my enjoyment of the unstable! I was having so many crashes, not even mod related, just booted back to desktop. It was so frustrating seeing my progress reset and missing zombies. I play on x16 for the sheer number of zombies and seeing those disappear was heartbreaking. I cannot thankyou enough for this mod.

Build 42 doesn't have MP yet so there's no need to update it. It doesn't work with 41 as it's a stable release with little to no crashes.

This mod is a must-have for those times when you get a bit overwhelmed with zombies in build 42, or the game just turns off for no reason. Currently B42 is very unstable, so until it is stabilized (if it ever will be), I highly recommend this mod to everyone.
