Description
panGUI

A simple mod that changes various HUD and GUI elements to reduce clutter on the screen. Makes single-plans less messy.

Features:
Reduced size of various icons:
This applies to go-codes, status (covert, silent, sync-speed, etc.), fatigue & time to recovery (campaign), cover indicators and sound rings.

Applied transparency to various UI/HUD elements:
This applies to in-game HUD, replay HUD, grenade AoE, danger areas and paths.

Removed redundant UI elements:
This applies to stun stars FX, suppressed/pinned floating text and "SNIPER SUPPORT" text on the screen.

Alternative textures:
New textures for trooper rings, pie icon, rescue zones and out-of-bounds background/grid.

New trooper/path colors:
Vanilla: 10 not so distinctive colors
Modded: 16 distinctive colors

Compatibility:

It should be compatible with most/all mods. It does not overwrite any .xmls files.

@Reithan

In that case, you can edit the mod files and get rid of the altered texture, or textures, that you don't want.

@panguino Actually the one I noticed at first glance was the toned down overlays. For me, red is already 'dim' so any red overlay that's been dimmed further is very hard to see.

I assume you're talking about path/troop colors. For the time being, you can try using Vivid Paths mod on top of this one and see if it's any better.

If not, maybe you could provide me assistance in creating a color palette that works for you :)

@Augy

In case you still haven't figured it out, it's the texture outside the mission/map bounds. Squares represent certain dimensions (as presented in the pictures) so you can estimate the distance of engagements while gearing up your squad.

I really like a lot of the changes in theory - but being colorblind, a lot of them just make certain things much harder to see. If you could do a pass on color selections to make it more universal, that would be awesome (or add more color-selection options)

Where i can see the range reference grid?

Oh, that's nice. I've looked into the issue but couldn't figure it out, so this is an accidental fix, lol. But glad it works, have fun :).

Tried the mod again after your latest update. Looking to be working without issue now:steamthumbsup:

Gave it a shot today. Removed my mods 1 by one to see if it would change. No luck. Even when it was the only active one, the result was the same. Unfortunate, but hardly the end of the world. I'll just have to live with the vanilla HUD

I haven’t tried with just this mod, but I did notice it would only go blue once I activated it.

I have a few mods active, that being Ares, the camo selector, MARSOC, WP NVGs, extra CIA units and Realistic sounds. Realistic sounds or WP NVGs might be the culprits as I don't see how the others would affect the GUI, but who knows.

I'll do some testing and see what happens.
