Description
This mod is now archived and will not receive update in favor of Quick Bar

You can now assign hotkeys to tools. Modded tools are supported too.

Important Setup:
1. You have to start/load a save to populate the list of tools in the Settings -> Keybindings. For example: load a Folktails save, then exit back to the Main Menu. It should be in the Tools group at the bottom.
2. The tool list will change depends on the faction you are playing. However, your settings are saved. For example: if you set Q as hotkey for Folktails' Lodge, then load an Iron Teeth save, that entry will disappear. However once you switch back to Folktails, the hotkey will still be Q.
3. Hotkeys do NOT work the first time you change factions (unless the name is shared between factions). Reload a save again to update the Settings list as well as hotkey.
4. If you use Settings while in-game: you need to reload a save to add a new hotkey. Changing and removing hotkeys should apply immediately. Unfortunately this is needed for performance reason.

From v7.1.0, Tools and Structures with the same name (for example, Folktails' Path or Iron Teeth's Path, or Destroy Building tool) now share the same hotkey and you only need to assign them once.

Tip: setting Demolish Buildings to "Delete" would still let you Delete an object if selected, but bring up the tool if nothing deletable is being selected!

Note: the mod does not assign any default hotkey to anything so you have to configure the keybindings.

P.s: all the trouble above was so it can work with modded tools and probably a bit update-proof™️ (*).

v7.1.1: should work with Apr 02 update now.
v7.1.0: now support all tools at the bottom bar with rule change. Unfortunately, due to a big change, all keybindings from the previous version are removed, please reassign them with new rule.

Those tools are available in Dev Mode so the list has them and are useful for modders. It's an offline single player game, just don't use them.

Assigning a hotkey for building demolition results in a cheat like behavior, turning it into an omnipotent tool. It allows the player to remove anything with a single click including trash piles meant to be cleared by beavers, and even normally indestructible elements like water sources and other resources.

It's there, under the "Buildings" group :P I was about to make it into the mod then realized it's already there.
