Mod Description
Fully functional WW2 oiler, with a post-apoc settlement on its deck. You can walk around ontop & inside of it, sail it around, and refuel other ships that stop along side it. Thou capable, its not really setup for combat (not that oilers do well near gunfire & explosions anyways) it's meant to be a mobile off shore settlement for RP purposes, like trade, roaming mercenaries, a small faction to help in your war effort, ext ext. For lore reasons its able to be just about anywhere on the US coast, including major locations seen in the games & show, or other locations around the world without breaking cannon as it moves around and "just wasn't there at that time".

NOTE: despite being made for fallout, the only "fallouty" thing on the ship is the vertibird on its heli deck, without that it also works great for any WW2/ cold war era post-apoc / zombie/ water world scenarios.
History / Lore
Built during WW2, the T2 design was formalized by the United States Maritime Commission as its medium-sized "National Defense tanker", a ship built for merchant service which could be militarized as a fleet auxiliary in time of war. The Lackawanna would Serve throughout the Pacific with the 3rd Fleet in WW2, and was decommissioned in July 1946 & subsequently sold to various different oil companies over the years until eventually the ship was scrapped in Vinaròs, Spain, in January 1967.

Now, solely because i wanted a large 50's era vessel that realistically wouldn't still be in service, we'll say that in the fallout universe it wasn't scrapped and would continue to be repaired & refit over the years unit eventually being recommissioned sometime during the escalations leading up to the Great War. Once again, it served in the Pacific unsung until the bombs fell on October 23, 2077. At a loss of what to do the ship would return to america so that its crew may search for loved ones, only to find once they made landfall that many survivors were desperate to get aboard to escape the heavily irradiated wasteland & approaching nuclear winter. Though many of the original crew still left, most stayed behind on the ship, sailing up & down the coast picking up as many survivors as they could before heading south to try to survive the nuclear winter in warmer climates near the equator. After a few decades / generations, they would return to america to find a much different wasteland then the one they left.

Questions & Answers
Q: Why isn't this "mod" showing in the launcher/ how to spawn it?
A: This isn't a "mod", its just a composition, and wont show in your launcher. You'll find this composition in the editor, once there you need to press the groups key or F2 then click on the composition icon. last pic in the slideshow above will show were that is.

Q: Why is it spawning all broken up?
A: You need to click off Vertical Mode & Surface Snapping before spawning any comp, last pic above shows were to find it. Also rotating it in the editor can cause it to come apart.

Q: What maps did you use for the pics?
A: Stratis
Pecher
Entropy
Malden
Helvantis
TODT
united sahrani

Q: Why is it made using an old WW2 oiler?
A: Size & shape. I wanted a 50'ish era large design while still being somewhat uniqe. While a carrier settlement would have offered more interior & exterior room to work with, it has already been done in fallout & i wanted to explore a new design instead of trying to improve or replicate an old one.

Q: Why does it look like it has sails.
A: Because it does, though none of it actually works. Later generations of inhabitants kept coming across wrecks of sail boats so had some small understanding of wind power, but no understanding on how to properly utilize it.

Q: why is it called "Fort T"
A: Because Forty sounds like Fort T. With its original name lost to time, the only thing its inhabitants & wastelanders now know it by is the number painted on its side. Much like Big MT, it became somewhat of a myth in the wasteland from the few to actually see it. Many have wasted their lives searching for the mystic pre-war Fort T, a place of safety & access to endless resources according to the stories, never realising its not an actual fort on land.

Known Bugs & Issues
- Breaks if rotated in editor
- Some aftermath plants have bug sounds, making the ship sound infested in some areas, recommend turning down effect volume while onboard
