Reactive Light Show

Description
Photosensitivity warning - lots of flashing lights

Press the Options button to choose a song and to start the map

Blackmill's Beacons
Watch the spotlights and landscape dance to the music

This map can be found on Deg Mods here[degmods.com]

Welcome to one of my showcase maps - a fully reactive light show that plays Blackmill songs.
It's not easy to feel moments of serenity in a destruction game, but where there's a will, there's a way. So, please, enjoy this moment of serenity.

You can change the spotlight angle and speed settings if you go into the map editor and click on any _beats or _tempo script.
There are no weapons and no player model. Flymode is turned on to view the stage easier.

Lel, nah. I get where you're coming from. A non-destructible map in a game that's made for destruction? It is sorta weird.

Thank you for taking the feedback well! Looking forward to a destructible version, again huge thanks for the map itself, and sorry if I came across as harsh

Thanks for the great feedback. It's just a proof of concept. I'm fully aware it's not aligned to the dynamics of the game and I made it that way on purpose, because it's designed to be atmospheric. If you want to destroy it then I totally can just remove the code that removes weapons and make a destructible version. I'm glad you liked it

Really really like this map, can't even imagine how much effort went into it. Easily one of the most impressive things I've seen out of this game. But... I can't help but think making the player completely intangible with no weapons was, well, probably the worst decision you could've made for the map.

The game is called Teardown. I understand if many parts of the map need to be mostly indestructible, lots of moving parts and scripts that could mess something up if the player goes around smashing things, and that detracts from the experience. But if there's no physical interaction AT ALL, no sense of presence, the map might as well be a youtube playlist.

Not saying "you did it wrong, start over", just very heavily requesting an option to not ghostify the player.

It'd be AWESOME for this mod to offer BOTH the choice of relaxing and enjoying the music, or being some crazed drunk with a bazooka destroying the intricate machinery of a concert stage.

P.S. If anyone finds any problems with the new ui window positioning or weird formatting, let me know. I'm still learning the ropes of how to use ui functions.

This update's pretty cool

- Added a toggle, that opens a window, where you can change the angle limits and joint movement speed, in realtime! Now anyone can modify them, and you don't even need to go into the map editor anymore.

Thanks. It is sort of a niche map. It's gonna be fully enjoyed only for the right people

Today's update:

- Removed every other tempo timestamp in "Life" because it was too fast for the song
- Added song "Friend"
- Added song "Child"
- Added song "The Light"
- Added song "Flashback"
- Changed the preview image
