Messerschmitt Me 163 Komet

The Me 163 Komet was a German rocket-powered interceptor used in World War II. It was the fastest aircraft of its time, capable of reaching over 950 km/h. Designed for high-speed hit-and-run attacks against Allied bombers, it had a short flight duration due to its volatile rocket fuel mix. Despite its innovation, the Komet had limited combat success and was notoriously dangerous to operate, with more pilots lost to accidents than in battle.


📌 Realistic in scale and weight (although much closer to empty weight)
📌 Liquid fuel rocket is hidden inside the fuselage because of its large size. Solid rocket booster at the back is decorative and produces exhaust, its very low burn-rate thrust is negligible (selecting it will change it to 1%!).
📌 Tiny propeller at the nose of Me 163 is wind-driven generator in the real one, this one is decorative.
📌 Top speed varies by altitude. Cockpit is not pressurized. Oxygen masks or better yet space suit is recommended for altitudes higher than 6 km.
📌 It has short range and endurance at full throttle. But level flight is possible even at 25% throttle.
