Half-Life 2: Vanilla Fixed Weapons

Description
This is my own series of fixes of both viewmodels and worldmodels of weapons for Half-Life 2 uploaded to the Workshop. These changes I made to certain models are intended to fix flaws and glaring issues that the original models have while still keeping them close to the original vanilla models. Some of Onemanshow's Weapon fixes[gamebanana.com] as well as other smaller weapon fixes I found such as Retail Plus Weapons Pack[gamebanana.com] and MTB's Reanimation Pack were either modified or included in my fix pack. These only include my fixes for certain weapons, so some weapon fixes I did not modify are not included.

Crowbar
  • Swing sound is upsampled to 44100hz
Pistol
  • Brass Ejection Fix inspired by the Leak model[gamebanana.com]
  • Fixed Reload Animation when Slide Release
  • Added varied Reload Animation based on the 2003 Leak Animation
  • Changed NPC Reload sound
  • Changed Pistol Reload sound to 44100hz by mixing it with the original sound source[soundeffects.fandom.com]
357 Magnum
  • Missing Faces Fixed, Added Ejection Rod Release mesh taken from MTB's Reanimation Pack
  • MMod Speedloader added to Reload Animation
  • MMod Worldmodel with modified texture
  • Ammo Box Texture taken from Black Mesa 2012 Version, so the bullets are yellow instead of white
SMG1
  • Changed Brass Ejection from Pistol shells to Rifle shells
  • Altered Worldmodel Textures besides Brass Ejection Fix
  • Reload Animation Fix along with the fixed 2003 E3 Reload animation added as variety
  • Holster Animation based on a Gamebanana request[gamebanana.com]
AR2 Pulse Rifle
  • Ported Onemanshow's Fixed AR2 Worldmodel and added AR2 magazine models as the original fix was lacking it, but there is no glow for it
  • It does not include Onemanshow's AR2 Viewmodel fix with the additional hand holding it, as I did not modify the model in any way
Shotgun
  • Fixed Reload Animation using Onemanshow's fixed Shotgun as a base
  • Altered Pump Sounds that sync with the animation
  • Ported Onemanshow's altered Shotgun Worldmodel Texture
Crossbow
  • Added Reload Sound to Crossbow Viewmodel using Onemanshow's Fixed Crossbow as a base inspired by the latest updated version of Half-Life 2: Deathmatch as it fixed the Crossbow reload sounds for that game
  • Uncompressed Crossbow Sounds taken from the Uncompressed Sound Variety[gamebanana.com]
Grenade
  • Worldmodel textures changed to Viewmodel texture for consistency including Fixed Glow Texture inspired by one submission
  • Added Pin Pull sound from Counter-Strike Source mixed with Entropy: Zero 2's Grenade sounds
  • Throw sounds added in fixed script for "weapon_frag.txt"
  • Added Low Idle and Holster Animations
RPG
  • Ported updated HL2 20th Anniversary's modified RPG Viewmodel for Ultrawide displays plus the original model as LOD
  • Added Reload Sound from the previous version of MTB's Reanimation Pack[gamebanana.com]
  • Added Holster Animation
Bugbait
  • Added Low Idle animations taken from MMod Viewmodel
  • New Worldmodel taken from HL2 HD World Models but with changed UV mappings
Addons that will come eventually to the Workshop:
  • Alternate Grenade texture from Worldmodel to Viewmodel
  • Shotgun Sling on Viewmodel
  • Onemanshow's SMG1 Viewmodel with Wider Barrel

There are other weapon fixes that I have planned to upload to the workshop, but due to personal life, it will have to wait. I will eventually upload it soon no matter how long it takes.

Yes. That is a problem that even I struggled to fix in the past. In the end, I may have to create a multiplayer patch of my weapon fixes later. I will fix it eventually.

damn, sorry about that. I just modify the firing sound to contain the reload sound myself. I just wanted to modify it so the sounds could remain separate. oh well.

For the crossbow? Well... unfortunately, I tried modifying the script sounds with the correct sound names, but they do not play in-game. It only works in a multiplayer game like Deathmatch.

Something tells me that there is some sort of problem within the source code that is preventing the sound to play. I compared the weapon scripts for both the updated HL2 and Deathmatch and they look the same to me. The best thing I could do is to decompile the Crossbow model and play the sound within the .qc file.

Wait a minute, it's the worldmodel actually. I have absolutely NO idea why the physics model in the game is incorrectly implemented. I will have to do something about it in my next update...

I can confirm it clips for me as well, but only if you directly subscribe to this addon. If you place it in custom folder this issue doesn't occur
