Use Warband and Imperial Armoury Upgrades Together Without Losing Resources

I'm a big fan of both Warband Upgrade Ultimate and the Imperial Armoury mods. I primarily play as the empire, and being able to upgrade units with equipment and promote them to higher tiers is very satisfying. However, the way Warband recruitment works is the unit is entirely replaced with a new entity, which would wipe out all Imperial Armoury upgrades applied to them.

This mod gives the opportunity to let your veteran and heavily equipped units be upgraded via Warband without worrying about losing precious fine steel, money, or unique faction resources.

How does it work?
This mod is one script file that activates when the Warband upgrade button is pressed. It checks all of the equipment on the old unit, then determines if upgrades already applied can be transferred over to the new unit. If so, the upgrade is added without any additional cost. If the new unit cannot make use of a particular upgrade (swordsman with shield upgrades converting to a halberdier), the cost of that upgrade that could not be added is refunded to you!

Who does it work for?
I almost exclusively play as Reikland, and did some testing with the Golden Order and Nuln. All seems to be working, but it is likely I have missed something. I have not touched any of the other empire factions, upgrades for the base empire units should work but if a special faction resource is required that will not be refunded as of now. If any errors occur please let me know in the comments and I will look into it when I have time.

Compatibility
This is the first mod I have ever made so I cannot give sound advice on compatibility. This mod should only activates when the Warband upgrade is pressed for empire factions, so theoretically the only things that would conflict are mods that listen for the UnitConverted event with the empire, or mods that make changes to the cost/materials for upgrades in Imperial Armoury.

I play primarily on the Old World Campaign map with several common mods, and it seems to be functioning properly. Works for Caravans of the Old World units as well after some quick testing.

Known Issues
In my testing, when units are upgraded sometimes the upgrades are not transferred over automatically. The cost for the upgrades are still refunded, so it is easy enough to add them back in.

Final Notes
If this ends up being helpful to people, I may be willing to expand coverage to other factions/races that have Dirty Dan's related mods.

If anyone with modding experience wants to take a look at the script and provide feedback/advice, that would be greatly appreciated. I am a novice with Lua and the secrets of modding WH3. Anyone is free to take and use the script for their own modding purposes as well.

Thats the one I am playing a Dwarf campaign ATM but will play around a bit later and tell you how it goes. Should be very useful barring any bugs

If you are talking about Nanu's Dynamic Regiments of Renown (Beta) , I haven't heard of this mod before so I am not sure. If it functions properly with both the Imperial Armoury and Warband Upgrade Ultimate I think it would work with this, but let me know if it is causing issues. If it makes changes to either of the required mods, specifically cost of upgrades or the upgrade material, it would not work without a patch.

Have you looked at nanu's ror upgrades would this work with that.
