Description
IWK+: Primitive Techs: Mud and Clay
This mod expands on the tribal and nomadic playstyles by adding a new resource to the game, a new tech tree and some craftable items.

This patch integrrates research tree into IWK and use IWK items for crafting/building.
Changes from original mod:
  • Removed Mudsnack and all reletad stuff.
  • Removed some useless ceramic items. Left only a few for trading and building
  • Replaced Termites with Grubs from IWK+.
  • Changed Sticky Stew to be crafted in any Cooking stove or Firepit with pot
  • Added craft for Ceramic Bowl
  • Added Firepit with pot (Ceramic Jar)

All research placed in Primitive (Meditation).
All building placed in respective category under Primitive (Mud) group
Most of them Require Traveling Research Box, to fit all research items.

It adds only new content and should therefore be compatible with any other mod. This mod doesn't change anything in the vanilla files and your game shouldn't need importing.

Getting started
Mud is collected from the ground using a spot that can be built for free. You will find it under the Farming.Primitive (Mud) category in the build menu. You will first need to unlock a level 0 technology called "Mud Digging". If you choose a place rich in ground water, your collection spot will let you gather mud at an increased rate.

After you've completed the first research, there is a whole tech tree awaiting to be unlocked. The next research on the list is "Crude Ceramics" : it will let you craft gear, pots and other commodities at the dedicated stations.

It's a patch, so you need to subscribe to original mod too
All the 3D models and new features are custom-made by Macrotaz's. I just integrate it into IWK research tree

Also you can subscribe to Uncluttered buildings tab - IWK+ Mud and Clay to have better tabs sorting for IWK+ mods

I tried following your instructions and it didn't work. I also deleted all my mods and reinstalled only the ones suggested in IWK+: Primitive Tech & Survival Modpack I, installing them in the suggested directory, but the patch doesn't seem to work either! It's a shame.. But I wanted to let you know! Thanks anyway for the suggestion!

@Ellen92, You should have order like that:

[8.2.7] MOD ORGANIZER: IWK+ Overhaul

Hi! I'd like to use both mods, IWK and MUD and CLAY, but the MOD section when starting the game tells me that this patch is missing or in the wrong load order. I have: Mud and clay and this patch under [06 building] and IWK under [08 overhauls]. Am I doing something wrong? Sorry for my English, I'm Italian!

"to start as tribal that know nothing and progress to tech level 1"
This sounds amazing, I have pondered doing something along those lines as well. I would love to collaborate or support in any way.

ah yes, the other items wont fit in the tiny research pillow, so this works out well :)

Also, it anyway locked behind Traveling Research Box, because all research need multiple items, that didn't fit in pillow

Already updated mod to include Mud Journal craft in the Meditation Introduction and Meditation Refresher researches.. Sorry, looks like during first test I forgot to disable main mod and it was enabled by it
Mandalf 23 Mar @ 6:42am
ah, and it looks like we're going to need a way to actually CRAFT the Mud Journal Pages, unless ive missed it somewhere :)

Hint, add them to the Meditation Journaling Pillow I, Meditation_func_crafting : item crafts

And the item Journal Page : Mud also needs to be "enabled" by some research for example I put them in the Meditation Introduction and Meditation Refresher researches.

Thanks for suggest. I removed that requirement.

Actually, it's part of my other mod, that overhaul IWK+ research tree, to start as tribal that know nothing and progress to tech level 1, so I never see that bug. I want to publish that mod to, so for now I split it into smaller patches.

Amazing! Nice use of the meditation journal!

I would suggest to maybe remove the Traveling Research Box (Meditation) requirement. The research box "should" generally be unlocked by default. The meditation is there in case it wasn't for some reason.

But most players will not have the research box "meditation" version unlocked by default, which is the specific pre req for Mud Digging here. If you're going for adding some more "cost" to the research, maybe just up the number of pages needed instead.

Either way, this makes my day, thank you so much.
