More Character Names

Remade from scratch and like it's previous incarnation will attempt to slowly expand upon all cultures of CK3 by adding the flavour they all deserve with more names for both male & female along with dynasties!

It will frequently be updated with additional names & dynasties for said cultures as I do my research on sources for names and so on while slowly adding other cultures.

Reason for the original being deleted

I thought everything was going perfect for the original, but I had made the fatal mistake of not adding names to the localisation files which led to many users subscribed to it experience issues... worst of all there were too many names to do so out of frustration (mainly poor health but I'm much better now I promise) I had decided to start it again completely from scratch.

I hope you can all forgive me for deleting the original, I'll keep better track of my health and take breaks when necessary.

What mods are compatible?

A majority mods are compatible however ones that aren't include ones that change Names & Dynasties in the Localisation folders as it'll cause names to either appear with underscores or as placeholders if your using any of the supported Languages.

Then there's mods such as ones that change the fonts that aren't compatible, why fonts in particular?

This mod makes use of an expanded version of the vanilla font that adds in accents for letters, this in turn allows for plenty of names I've added to appear properly as they use accents, if any font mods are used it'll interfere with the mod and cause names I've added to appear with underscores.

I'm uncertain how to approach translating the names over to Chinese, Korean and Russian... as I don't know how to go along with non Latin letters. However feel free to translate my mod to unsupported languages!

@Adrenaline Eva - I'd be more then happy to do Lithuanian names, it'll take some time but I will do research for names! :steamthumbsup:

Is there any chance you are able to do Lithuanian Names? The selection of vanilla names for Lithuania is quite terrible and small.

Next update shall be coming out in a few days possibly, currently thinking how I should approach the Gothic namelist as for some reason it makes use of Visigothic names instead of giving Visigoth its own namelist.

I'm thinking of approaching it by making a custom namelist for Visigoth, taking out Visigoth names from the Gothic namelist and into the custom Visigoth namelist.

I've not done this before so i'll hold off from it for now and give it some thought for awhile.

@Grimsvar - You'll be glad to know that I don't refuse to stop continuing, I'm determined to try and do every culture (even if it takes me ages) and expand upon them culture :kcdgkw:

Please don't ever stop updating and adding more names to this mod. I absolutely refuse to play the game without it. It's been a permanent part of my playlist since it's release. Thanks again.

Important notice on a mod that interferes with More Character Names!

Originally I hadn't noticed this until I saw names that I hadn't added in, turns out their from Cultures Expanded... I was unaware of this until discovering that it makes use of it's own namelist.

Still if you don't mind then feel free to play with this mod active, just bare in mind you'll encounter some names & dynasties from Expanded Culture that will appear with underscores!
