Description
Halo: Reach Evolved is a project that's been ongoing since 2018 when it was an Xbox 360 mod. It brings in certain aspects from the original trilogy of Halo games, edits some of the Campaign encounters with brand new scripted sequences, and alters the weapons and vehicles to give each tool of destruction their own distinct niche, while introducing new ones.

The Firefight component has been transformed, featuring an ingame currency system using your Firefight score, which you can use to purchase weapon crates, base upgrades, armor abilities, and even win conditions!

This is the public beta, featuring the ONI Sword Base Campaign mission, followed by the Firefight maps Installation 04 and Unearthed. When the mod is out of beta, the rest of the Campaign will be available, and new Firefight maps will be released when they're ready.

===Firefight Overview===

INSTALLATION 04:

The Covenant are interested in the Forerunner technology surrounding the beam tower. With a squad of marines, secure the tower, hold off Covenant reinforcements, as well as Sentinels, until you're able to call for a pelican extraction to win the game. During that time, you can use your Firefight score to purchase ODST reinforcements, an auto turret, a Falcon gunner ride akin to Call of Duty's "chopper gunner", and even hack the nearby Sentinels to be on your side for a round.

UNEARTHED:

The Brutes are attempting to take over the BXR mining facility. Drop in with a squad of ODSTs to secure the base, but this will trigger a Covenant cruiser to slipspace into the AO. It will deploy phantoms to send Covenant reinforcements, and occasionally use its ship cannons to rain fire upon you. Your win condition is to hold out until you can purchase the MAC Cannon to destroy the ship. However, if you can't purchase the cannon on time, the glassing beam will activate and everyone dies, resulting in a loss. You can also purchase Marine reinforcements, another auto turret, a rocket Warthog which can be upgraded to a Gauss Warthog, and a Scorpion.

===Sandbox Overview===

Assault Rifle: Hits noticeably harder than the standard Reach AR, and has 10 more rounds in each magazine.

Magnum: Has no bloom, fires faster unzoomed, then slower and more accurately when scoped in.

(New) SMG: Close quarters brawler capable of shredding through squads of Grunts and Jackals up close.

(New) Battle Rifle: Replacing the DMR, this 3 shot burst rifle can sweep through unshielded enemies with headshots, but projectiles are slow, requiring leading at a distance, and are not great at dealing with shielded Elites.

Shotgun: Harder-hitting than base Reach's, has blue iron sights, and can be fired continuously while holding the trigger.

Sniper Rifle: Fires as fast as Halo CE and Halo 2's and features a 2x first zoom instead of 5x.

Rocket Launcher: Has the ability to lock on to ground vehicles.

Spartan Laser: Has 5 shots instead of 4.

Machine Gun turret: made slightly stronger.

Plasma Pistol: nerfed to expend 1% of its battery per primary shot, but is still as powerful as ever.

Plasma Rifle: Very akin to its CE incarnation; hits harder and has faster projectiles.

Needler: initially fires slower, but no longer needs to break shields to supercombine.

Needle Rifle: This is the mod's "DMR", taking on the role of a mini-Sniper Rifle. Much higher damage per shot and a 4x zoom, but fires slower and only has 8 rounds per magazine.

(New) Plasma Spate: Replacing the Plasma Repeater, the Plasma Spate is a medium-range shield stripper that fires in 5 shot bursts (cannot headshot).

(New) Brute Plasma Spate: A heavy Brute version of the weapon fitted with a bayonet attachment and incendiary rounds, fires at full auto but with wide spread.

Spiker: Strong against unshielded enemies, but only has 75% effectiveness vs shields. The weapon's fire rate lowers as it builds up heat. Melee damage is boosted.

(New) Mauler: Brute shotgun that's very similar to its Halo 3 incarnation. Hits hard up close, but has damage falloff at further distances.

Fuel Rod Cannon: Has a combination of functions from the Gearbox CE Fuel Rod as well as Halo 2 and onwards. Features reloadable magazines as per normal, but builds up heat each time it fires, punishing trigger spam.

Plasma Launcher: buffed to be like its Reach Beta counterpart; instant lock on and longer range, and projectile detonations always explode after 1.25 seconds.

Energy Sword: swings much faster than vanilla.

Concussion Rifle: was made stronger in player hands and nerfed in the hands of AI compared to vanilla. Has more concussive force to promote grenade jumping.

(New) Plasma Caster: Shoots bouncy plasma grenades, along with a charge-up shot that can stick to any surface.

Plasma Turret: was made slightly stronger than in vanilla, and has better effectiveness vs jackal shields.

(New) Gravity Rifle: replacing the Focus Rifle, this weapon is a Covenant rail gun with a large concussive shot that required charging to fire.

(New) Sentinel Beam: Exclusive to Installation 04's Sentinels, the Sentinel Beam is akin to its Halo 3 counterpart; a strong beam weapon capable of melting through most targets.

===Known issues===

-Sentinel Beam FP markers are a bit wonky regarding the overlay animations.
-Sentinels will sometimes get stuck on the ground.
-Certain HUD elements for the new weapons are placeholder.
-This build is largely untested for co-op, especially for lobbies with players very far away from each other. There will likely be issues with syncing.
-Mauler reload sound will sometimes not play.
-Activating certain armor abilities, then pressing the AA key again while it's being used, will cancel it out.
-Certain effects won't play in FF co-op.
-Generator Defense and Firefight VS are currently not supported, but will be in the future.

Hey! Just wondering id I'm getting something wrong, because I'd love to play this mod. I've downloaded it, and placed the bin into the right folder, but when I play the game nothing seems to change! None of the new weapons, allies, buying system, nothing. Playing on Unearthed and Installation 04, no changes compared to normal firefight. Playing with Evolved Firefight of course. Trying to troubleshoot, but I'd appreciate any pointers if I've missed something.

If you think my critiques are "rude" and "aggressive" ,and makes me a "jerk" then you clearly haven't actually met a rude person. God forbid someone give a opinion on a mod.

If the word "hate" hurts your feelings on someone else's behave then you shouldn't be online. And Vadam made this mod for the community, this is community feedback, you can't expect all feedback to be positive
