Description
Worthy Tau is an overhaul to AI behaviour for the T'au Empire.

The Worthy Tau is the sixth published mod of the Worthy AI Collection, with mods planned for all factions.

The Worthy mods strive to improve AI performance without changing balance or mechanics. The mods provide the AI with a strategy for units and upgrades, nudges the econ decision making, and improves the AI's use of units' abilities.

The Worthy mods use the EXT mod format to be reasonably compatible with other mods. They also attempt to minimize additional visual clutter for non-AI players. These are relatively challenging mods to code, technically complex. If you come across a behaviour you dislike, let me know, and I can attempt to address it!

Enjoy!

JULY NOTE
A July 2nd update turned out not to be backwards compatible. If you have post-July 2nd save with the TAU and want to finish the match, let me know and I will revert the save. This offer is only good until July 13th, at which point I am moving all the Worthy mods forward.
I apologize for the inconvenience, that's on me!

Played another 2v Insane game, unit selection was good. Peered into the remaining 2 cities 5 turns before endgame.
- pivoted nicely around thick fortification.
- Good unit selection.
- Left it's Stormsurges unguarded for several turns, leading to their deaths.
- way too many production buildings, and no sign of type-specialization
- not enough resource production to keep production buildings active.

This mod combined with Itemsets for AI Heroes mod, brought new experience to game.

Ah, I see! Sorry for not fully understanding how this mod works originally. Maybe you could add some brief instructions on Steam when you have time? :steamhappy:

Thanks for the explanation! I think the crashes might just be due to my PC's limited RAM. I'll give it another try when I can - if possible, I'll send you the error message if it crashes again.

Updated to hide additional imposter actions. Shouldn't crash anything, only newly created units will have the fix. :steamhappy:

Oh! And for load order, Gladius loads "from bottom-to-top" I am told. Since the Worthy are via the EXT format, it makes sense for them to go near the top, since they are really just extending w/e files the other mods use.

Trazyn the Infinite- Thanks for trying out my mod and giving me your notes!
Skill Cooldowns and duplicate skills is intended. Here's why:
1. I use the EXT mod format to for compatibility.
2. To get the Ai to use abilities better, I need to put the original ability on cooldown and give the Ai the same ability but with conditions (I call these smarter-Ai abilities "Imposters")
3. I have the Ai put the oroginal ability on cooldown via my custom-action "Sleep"
4. I use Sleep for 100 turns.

That said, with your note I've found a couple places where I could hide the Imposters a bit better, so I'm working on that.
For the crash, sorry you've run into a problem! :steamsad: My mods are lightweight: the Worthy don't use much extra memory. I don't have crashes, I play many matches and hours with them. It is possible an interaction between HoL and the Worthy could be causing a crash. Let me know if you want me to try and debug it.

Your mod looks really interesting, but for some reason, it seems to conflict with the Heroes of Legend series mod I have installed. Some vanilla units (especially hero units) are experiencing issues like:

Skill cooldowns showing as 99/3 (unintended values).

Duplicate skills appearing (the same skill showing up twice).

Could this be related to mod load order? Or is it caused by using a non-English language?

Additionally, the game crashes after a certain number of turns—I’m not sure if this is due to high memory usage.

In any case, thank you so much for creating this mod!
