Primordial Hysteria

Description
Time means nothing in the farmstead as it exists in both the past, present, and future.... and some things from the past are making their way here...

~~~Primordial Hysteria~~~
What is in this mod currently
  • A new town event that can spawn a quest to fight the beasts, which happens after you have 4 heroes at level 6 and past week 50. This town event can repeat every 10 days.
  • A new repeatable quest that has shard shop trinkets if you win as the reward as well as giving Prismatic quirks! On this quest you will fight the Displaced Tyrant and the Expunged Scavanger. Any heroes that die on this quest will return to your roster. The event requires you to have 8 level 6 heroes and your estate to be week 50 for it to show up.
  • Two new monsters in one boss fight!
    • The Displaced Tyrant: A giant brute with a thick hide and high health.
    • The Expunged Scavanger: A fragile speedster who can take to the skies, outside the reach of your heroes!
  • The two monsters can show up in a weaker state seperately in endless.
  • Three new trinkets with two ways to obtain them; you can fight the bosses in their quest for a chance at the drop or buy them from the shard shop for a stupid amount. Think of the shard shop version as bad luck protection.
Mod Intergration
If you have Farmstead Plus installed, the Tyrant and Scavanger can show up seperately in champion level missions in hallways. Which means they can appear only if you backtrack. They give less loot and are weaker than their boss quest versions.
love that the battle is low stakes, because dang ts is tough. lost my whole party to 'em once. would've left a terrible taste in my mouth if they hadn't come back, but they're pretty fun to just throw guys at since you can get all your shit back afterwards. big ups
The battle was indeed tough, but I noticed their gimmicks during my first fight/lost to them. Thank goddess the modders made the battle fought in Farmstead = temporary death.
I won in my 2nd try. Here are the strategies:
- Tyrant only attack 1st & 2nd ranks, while the Scavenger attack 3rd & 4th ranks (except while airborne).
- Stealth your party. The monsters will pass their turns, except for Scavenger who can attack them during airborne.
- Inflict massive Bleed
- Prevent Tyrant to heal itself with certain skill or Trinket
- If one hero remain (or going solo), let the Scavenger inflict Stealth to them.
Extremely fun fight - would recommend to anyone wanting comet shards, memories, or just "Difficult" fights.
Fight is "Safe" so you shouldn't be losing heroes. Despite what others are saying.
Even with some poor planning on my part, and misplays - two teams of mine were able to get through with no losses now.
One a damage reflect team; the other a bleeding team.
Neither of which had the greatest of trinkets; just what I was able to throw on them. If you have "OP" trinkets. You probably will will have a great time fighting these things.
I was talking about the mod.
Also where did I ever say it was balanced?
Please find where I said that. I never said it was a balanced fight. That was never the goal. I said the fight was do-able with multiple vanilla teams while being one of the hardest fights you can download as mod. And it totally falls in-line with that goal.
The fight is completely stacked against the player, but the player can do still complete it. Along with rewards that are totally worth it.
"If you're not up for the challenge, then leave."
You can't leave from this fight, bruh.
Nah, okay, I'm kidding. Nonetheless, my point still stands. And I have the right to express it without having to leave, whether you like it or not.
You can throw in even more stats, buffs and debuffs, go through it with a lot of luck and call it the hardest balanced fight in the universe, harder than the hardest last boss. My opinion - not fun. I'm not going to argue with you.
One last thing: quetz also has the same debuff resistance as the t-rex at 50%. you can debuff them both to hell and back. That's why I brought leper personally, to debuff their damage with intimidate.
The fight is DESIGNED to be one of the hardest fights in the game, which is why It's marked as a level 6 quest. it is MEANT to be harder than the shrieker, than the countess, and the final boss.
If you're not up for the challenge, then leave. Especially since the fight is a SAFE FIGHT! you don't have any heroes die permanently from the fight. you can keep trying as much as you want unlike other fights.
The fight was tested with multiple different Vanilla teams and had success while still being challenging against them. With the tanky team in the picture, with the dodge team, or with your "Nuke the backline meta" team. There are multiple avenues to success without needing any other mods, which is why the mod is fine in it's current state.
Reason for the stun removal change? miscommunication between the art FX and I. usually yellow FX indicates stun but the artist just used the motion lines from hellion. So it was removed.
