Description
Billed from the 'Deepest, Darkest Africa', the smooth-talkin', funky dancin' Akeem strutted his way to WWF rings in style. Formerly known as the One Man Gang, Akeem (with the assistance of manager Slick) was said to finally embrace Gang's African roots through this new gimmick.

Rumour has it that the Akeem character was inspired after Vince McMahon had watched the Eddie Murphy flick Coming To America, which made it's theatrical release just four months before Akeem's WWF debut.
