you can also have one character farming the plant while another holds the "loot" window open so you can see your progress. they can also be the one to take the harvest while the other char keeps farming. Hope this helps too!
Hover your mouse over a plant to see if it turns into a resource indicator. If it does, then left click on the plant to see if it is ready to harvest. If it is, you can long right click and choose “use” or you can just right click to start harvesting.
Harvesting plants in the wild uses your farming skill, and you will receive a message whether you were successful in gathering the crop or not. If you are successful then you can long right click the plant and choose “loot” to receive your prize!
