Description
Silverock Bay

Silverock Bay is fictional and fully hand-made map. Different parts are inspired by different places all around the world, which allows any build to fit well in here. Silverock area is home to many natural wonders, beautiful beaches, sharp mountains, cozy valleys and many more!

On map you will only find local roads, which makes the city-building experience more realistic. Over time as traffic grows you will be forced to upgrade the roads, or even build whole highway system for your city. I highly recommend using 81 tiles mod, however it isn't necessary to use the map. Map is fully vanilla.

Map contains:

- 247,000 trees;
- 4 highway connections;
- 2 railway connections;
- 2 ship connections ;
- 4 airplane connections.

Map theme

Although map will look good with any given map theme, I suggest using Silverock Bay Theme Mix. Important: You will need Theme mixer 2 or Theme mixer 2.5 for this to work, as well as all the dependencies listed. It is also the theme used on screenshots.

love the map, but the outside highway connections are badddd. Specifically the intersections, clogs up insane amounts of traffic very quick. Good solution I found was enabling "vehicles may enter blocked intersections" in the junction policy section (TMPE) if you don't want to unlock the entire map instantly to fix this issue.

I am not a fan of using the national road as an outside connection. It clogs up traffic a lot and spawns a lot of tourists who will only look for a u-turn and leave a mess at the first possibility to turn around and leave the city due to a bug in the game.

@Waffles thanks for experimenting with it, and giving me the results, saves me trouble haha! I agree, I was placing the harbour in the bay alongside some custom shipyards as one would see in natural harbour cities around the world. Quite a shame.

@Chairman - I was about to comment more, so I did some trials & errors, when I set a harbor closer to the sea (for instance the little sandy shores) it works, but the main attraction of such a map is having the ship traffic going inside the bay ofc. I also edited the map a bit myself to see if changing some connections would fix it, but couldn't find anything.

Down the line though, I know for sure it's not a mod issue, since I tried with a clean reinstall of CS & unsubscribed to all mods except the map, same result.

I'm quite sad about this because this map is really great, but without being able to exploit the bay with ships, it loses it's sparkle for me :(

@Stone, there are basically no dependencies, the map theme isn't needed. You can use whatever one you feel will fit the best.
