Description
Wield the power of the originium and the deadly oripathy disease.

What is oripathy? (In this mod)

Oripathy is a non curable disease (unless mentionned) that will slowly kill the host, however the process of the disease progressing will raise psychic sensitivity as a side effect.

/!\ DISCLAIMER /!\ This tree is NOT meant to be balanced, it IS meant to be insanely broken. You have been warned.

Psycasts:

T1:

Originium Infection: Skip an originium crystal inside the target to infect them with Oripathy, boosting their psychic sensitivity stat at the cost of others and certain death. (This psycast infects the target with the first signs of oripathy.)

T2:

Summon Originite Crystal: Psychically transform a pile of stone deep underground into an originite chunk before making it surface. (0.2% Infection/u)


Summon Overcharged Originite Crystal: Psychically transform a pile of stone deep underground into an originite chunk before making it surface. (20% Infection/u)


T3:

Phase: Use your Arts to phase, allowing you to avoid any incoming damage for a 10 sec duration. Dodging will still require time to get back into fighting position, Causing a slight stun when hit.

T4:

Originium Mind-Control: Breaks the brain structure of the target and replaces it with an originium based crystal, effectively killing them and turning them into an originium zombie for your faction. Retains the capabilities of the host but infects them with the first few signs of curable oripathy.

T5:

World Of Dark: Resurrecting-Oripathy: Unleash a huge cloud of Originium dust high in the sky, causing it to resurrect dead creatures back to life in a berserk state. (DeathPall)

Dead World: Unleash a huge cloud of Originium dust high in the sky, causing it to shroud the world in darkness scaring away any caravan. Allies and Foes alike. (Unnatural Darkness Stage 1)

T6:

Originium Infection (Curable): Skip an originium crystal inside the target to infect them with Oripathy, boosting their psychic sensitivity stat at the cost of others and certain death if abused. While this type of infection is less severe and curable the lethality remains the same if it reaches critical levels. (49% Infection per cast, slowly goes down.)

Originium Infection (Poisoned): Skip an originium crystal inside the targets present in the AOE to infect them with Oripathy, rapidly killing the target. (50% per cast, rapidly ramps up.)

Summon Stabilized Originite Crystal: Psychically transform a pile of stone deep underground into an originite chunk before making it surface. This chunk is stabilized, meaning that the Oripathy from this fragment is curable and that the drawbacks are less severe. (20% Infection/u Slowly goes down.)

T7:
Oripathy Limit-Break: Overcharge your body with a modified strain of the Oripathy virus, drastically changing your metabolism to be hyper-efficient and self regenerating for two hours. (This is the OP part.)

Abilities while in limit-break mode:

-Oripathy-Induced Resurrection (Target): Infect a non-dessicated corpse with the oripathy strain currently inside you, causing them to resurrect. There may be side effects.

-Oripathy Death-Refusal: The final layer of protection shall the limit-break fail to help you, forcibly mutates the oripathy strain inside you to resurrect yourself shall you die. Can only be used once per limit-break cast.

-Cure Oripathy: Inject the target with the same oripathy strain that is empowering you, the strain will target infected cells in the host's body and effectively neutralize the infection.

Originium Juggernaut: Form an armor of originium around yourself, allowing you to absorb half the damage at the cost of mobility.

Abilities while armor is up:

-Toggle armor: disables the armor.

-Blade-form: Morph your arm into a sharp blade. (Boosts melee attacks and is considered a weapon.)

Ability while in Blade-form:

-Toggle Blade-form: Self explanatory.

-Dash: Jump to a target location.

Originium Psy-form

Manifest Originium catalysts, doubling your psychic sensitivity and halving the heat drain of psycasts. Additionally allows you to refill psyfocus faster when meditating.

Abilities while in Psy-form:

-Toggle Psy-form: Dispel the catalysts.

-Grant Regenerative Oripathy: Grant near-instant healing capabilities to the target.

T8:

Originium Annihilation: Attack the target with an absurd amount of Originium, causing the target to instantly die.
As usual this tree can be unlocked in the "Misc" Path tab.

Inhibitors!

Orig-inhibitor: A dose of overcharged originite mixed with luciferium mechanites, specially created to reset the infection back to its starting point, enough to grant another 90 days of survival to the infected.

The Orig-inhibitors can be crafted at a drug lab, costing 1 luciferium and 1 overcharged originite after the medicine production research is finished.

Experimental Inhibitor:A dose of unstable originium obtained through a questionable mix of Originite crystals. Allows the user to revert their condition to 75% of the infection but will also raise their infection level to 75% if used before that point. Using this will grant another 22 days of survival to the infected.

The Experimental Inhibitor can be crafted at a drug lab, costing 2 originite crystals after the drug production research is finished.

Mid-save and CE Compatible like the other trees.

Added note: Any custom hediffs can be cherry-picked out of the game if you want to balance things out for yourself.

Update: Removed DDS textures from the files, some users are having issues while loading these.

Nevermind I found the issue, graphic settings+ doesn't like dds loading for some reason, it used to but not anymore, might be bugged but i'll remove the dds images from the files. That fixed the issue on my end

Haven't touched this and VPE arknights in a while, doubt it's on my end, i'm running all of my VPE mods no issue. I'll have a look but I don't think it's from my end.

Update (last one before a while I swear): Added early game experimental inhibitor for low tech factions, the drug production research unlocks the experimental inhibitor which will lower the infection to 75% on an infected pawn. Or raise it if you use it too early.

Update: Originium Infection psycast (T1) now inflicts the first stage of the infection as intended, instead of directly starting at 50%

Changed Curable Originium Infection (T6) to 49% per cast instead of 50%, allowing two casts on self in a row for the full bonus.

Update: Banned AI from using spells from this tree except T1, which will keep the nerfs

Slightly reverted the casting speed nerfs on poisoned infection and Annihilation.
