Mechanical Filter Pump [U7 ✅]

Description
Your Mechanical Fluid Pump can now purify Badwater into fresh water at the cost of double the power usage. You can enable this filter on each pump individually.

Don't like the power cost? You can enable certain feature and a checkbox would appear to let you disable the power increment. But you are a cheater!

I'm guessing the centrifuge doesn't allow for two outputs? I suppose alternative would be to just have a centrifuge produce water instead of extract as alternative recipe.

The idea was implemented this mod: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3459544570 . Pretty sure the recipe was in the Centrifuge at first but due to a tech limitation I moved it to the Dirt Excavator.

Imo would make more sense for the Centrifuge to output water along with extract, because well a centrifuge normally separates a liquid so why that only outputs extract doesn't make a lot of sense. Maybe could make that into a mod, adding a recipe for the centrifuge to output 2 water and 1 extract and require twice the power or something. Just an idea.

Thanks for reporting. I did add it to Steam but forgot about it in the mod manifest.

You have an exception when harmony and timberUI is not loaded before this mod, but it only shows that harmony is required

Hi there, for the toxic waste issue:
usually "in real life" you end up with
a) higher concentrated toxic fluids
and
b) for example toxic saturated coal or absorber material,
that can be burned to chemically destroy the stuff at high temp.

So to not allow duping water and make it more effort you could integrate
a fixed tank at the pump for waste water in a 1 to 10 ratio (again bad water)
that needs to be manually emptied.
And add a process of burning wood to coal (charcoal maker)
=>ending with toxic coal that can be burned but isnt as good as pure charcoal
(Meaning 4x waste coal over clean coal for example)

Or combine paper+coal to filter material that needs to be burned inefficiently.

This might allow to collect a lot of waste at the start of the game where it doesnt matter,
but that needs to be (and can be) handled late game.
- Or dump it into hollowed out mountains human style ;-)

I'm not sure what could work as a good filter medium, but I know paper should be involved in that. Or perhaps a fabric made out of various plants. The disposal method would be a pain though, finding a way to dispose of such stuff.

One idea is basically to move the toxicity down river, so you move the old filters down to a storage building that must be submerged for it to contaminate the water again and over time remove the filters from its storage through their own natural decay from being hit by a flowing river. (Possibly decay faster by water speed).

Some additional thoughts.

I did think about that but it was too complicated to implement by modifying the existing Pump. Maybe later when I can make a separate pump instead. Thanks for the great suggestion!

I had a thought for this. What if you made an alternate Mechanical Pump that required a supply of paper or some other material to purify bad water? Perhaps also just use this one but also add a requirement of paper to be supplied to it to enable the filter. With no paper, it should have an option to stop pumping water till paper is restored only if water toxicity is above a certain percentage. (Same for power usage, increase power usage only when bad water is above a certain value)

Also, a balancing option, don't turn bad water into good water at a 1:1 rate. If its 100% bad water for example, it should only give you 30% clean water back, and burn through your filters very quickly, leaving behind some kind of old filter that needs to be disposed of in some way. I'm not quite sure yet on that end. :P

I just checked it with this mod and dependencies only, as well as with a few mods I usually use and I cannot get it to crash. Could you please send the Crash log (Player.log file) in the Discussion or on Discord please? Thanks.
