Captain's Crossbows and Contraptions

Description
Some Weapons and Shields For Your Pwning Pleasure

Non Crossbow weapons can be bought from the weapon rack at tier 1

Crossbow Weapons Can Now be bought from weapon rack

All weapons can be found as drops or even in the town vendor (if RNG Favors you...)

Does not replace vanilla weapons.

So far seems to work with other mods that add weapons.

The Weapons have their own icons now for easy differentiation.


The weapons:

Crossbows:

Repeater Crossbow(DEX) - An incredibly fast firing crossbow with a whirlwind shot as secondary attack

Explosive Crossbow(STR) - Explosive shot is now main shot with a big boom shot as secondary

Room Cleaner(DEX) - A Fumigation type weapon with gas shots. Bigger AOE Shot Secondary. Deals Poison.

Sniper Crossbow(DEX) - A slow Powerful mainhand shot that applies cripple and a secondary weak shot that applies marked. This weapon has inreased innate crit chance

Wind Piercer Railbow(FOC) - A powerful Charged Shot Crossbow that needs to be "reloaded" by using secondary attack

Homing Missile Launcher(STR): Aiming Is Overrated, Right?

Shields:

Spider Shield(INT) - You can summon spiderlings. Stacks with Spider Wand. Should stack with arachnoid legacy but needs testing.

Healing Shield(FOC) - Gives you an AOE Target heal ability that removes debuffs. Was an unused game ability.

Siege Shield(VIT) - Allows You to summon a ballista(max 3 at a time). Also an unused game ability.

Fire/Lightning/Ice Tower Shield(Vit) - Summons their respective tower turret on offhand cast.

Lifespark Shield(Vit): Applies Stacking HOT and Lightning DOT.

Combo Shield(Foc): While equipped Mana spent triggers combo (1pt per 2 mana spent). Easy Combo.
Remember that combo sound loop can be turned off in sounds section

YEET Shield(Vit): YEET Yourself Foward Fast Until Mana Gives Out


Swords And Daggers:

Lightning Sword(INT): A Lightning DMG Sword that spawns lightning on hit. increases spell crit chance when held.

Bat Sword(INT): Poison DMG Sword that summons bats on hit

Windslash Katana(DEX): Lightning Dmg sword that applies DOT

Windslash Nodachi(DEX): 2h Version of katana with whirlwind slash as secondary

Windslash wakizashi(DEX): Offhand dagger like katana with offhand stab attack


Axes:

Wind Axe (STR) - Mainhand thrown axe with a wind "explosion"

Explosive Axe (STR) - Offhand axe that explodes. Doesn't appear to be held in offhand though :(

Mainiaxe (DEX) - Mainhand axe that is spam thrown really fast. Deals Poison Damage

Spin to Win(STR) - Mainhand axe that looks and spins like a 2h axe (and is kinda weird in animations with offhands)


Mauls and Maces:

Whirlwind Hammer(STR): Spin For Main Attack, Whirlwind Strike Attack for secondary

Skybreaker Flail(STR): 1H Lightning Damage Mace with a charged attack for more damage

Icebreaker Flail(STR): 1H Ice Damage Mace with a charged attack for more damage


Wands And Staves:

Rod of Explosions(INT): It makes you cast EXPLOSIONS!

Staff of Storms(INT): Lightning Strike Main, Tornado Secondary Lightning DMG Staff Cast.
Both Deal DOT Lightning Dot As Well
(Both Attacks use invisible projectiles and do their effect on hit)

Aeromancer's Quarterstaff(DEX): A Hybrid melee/cast weapon with wind based main strike and ranged wind based offhand cast.

Explosive Quarterstaff(DEX): Similar to Aeromancer's Quarterstaff but uses explosive attacks instead.
Slightly lower damage due to DOT Effect.

Lazor Wand(INT) - Fires LAZORS! Similar to serpent beam. Added Fire DOT.

Spider Wand(INT) - You can summon spiderlings. Stacks with Spider Shield. Should stack with arachnoid legacy but needs testing.

Wasp Staff(INT) - It wasp me I tell you... Ok, it summons a wasp on main and offhand cast (Each different).

Frostfire Staff(INT)- Both Attacks apply fire/ice damage DOT.

Frostfire Wand(INT)- 1H Version using Standard Attack.


Bows:

Meteoric Shieldbow(STR): Made by My Brother Pwnmaster. This Thing drops meteors on arrow hit.

Lowered the wind throwing axe from 75 to 50 radius.

Oh I see. Seems a bit crazy for a no mana skill that can just be spammed though. And from a long distance away at that. The quarterstaff makes sense, and I'm pretty sure has much smaller AoEs. Might be worth comparing with other mainhands. It's all good either way though! Fantastic mod.

The big AOE on wind axe was intended. Also intended on other wind based attacks (quarterstaff and staff of storms)

Loving the variety of weapons! Quite a few really fun ones, and most feel pretty balanced.

The Wind Throwing Axe seems to have WAY too big of an AoE on hit though. Maybe 5-10x too big! If you make it closer to the size of the visual wind effect, it should be perfect.

I found another wind effect and switched aeromancer class to that effect. The weapons will keep the old effect

Is it possible to change the air/wind effects of the Aeromancer's Quarterstaff & Staff of Storms?
Or perhaps change the Aeromancer (class) 's Shredding Gale (skill/spell) texture/animation a little bit so both mods add a bit more flare to the diversity of wind effects?
