Bounty
I love Bounty..

It’s a cool way to make the game harder and add a fun twist. The more you kill special and boss infected, the more of a target you become!

How it works:
When you kill special or boss infected, you earn bounty points. The more bounty you have, the more damage special infected and bosses deal to you! So, the more you kill, the more dangerous it gets.

Example:
You kill a special infected, get a bounty point.

Now, every time you take damage from special infected or bosses, they’ll do extra damage based on how much bounty you have. So, if you’ve got a bounty of 5, you’ll take 5 extra damage from them.

Important Notes:
  • If you kill a special or boss with a headshot, you'll earn 2 bounty points instead of 1!
  • The max bounty point to reach is 10, you'll get a chat feedback to warn you.
  • You earn points only from killing specials and bosses.
  • You take extra damage only from specials and bosses, no other damage sources.
  • When you get down (incapped), you lose all bounty points.


WARNING:
  • Works on singleplayer and hosted local servers only!


Features:
  • Get bounty points for killing special infected or bosses.

  • The higher your bounty, the more extra damage you take from special infected and bosses.

  • When you kill a special or boss, chat feedback shows how much bounty you have.

  • When you reach the max bounty points, chat feedback shows to warn you.

  • When you incapped, you lose all the bounty points, chat feedback shows to inform you.

This is very fun, please make a version with no cap on bounty points <3 I think it would be very fun to defend my team from specials by sniping them on top of the boat house in the finale of Death Toll and by the time the boat comes, im one hit from death (but i saved my team)

Ahh okay, I was wondering if it was possible or not.

Yeah the spawn range would be interesting since I think it only applies for SI behind the survivors. Smokers sometimes spawn behind the survivors so I don't know where the perfect distance would be to still allow that while minimizing long catch up. Would also be interesting to have a really short distance so that basically all SI have to spawn in front of survivors immediately if falling behind.

For the bounty mod is there a way to add the bounties to the bots? My testing only has players being able to accrue the bounty.

Haha this reminds me of that fallen survivor thief mod that someone made awhile ago! This would be a great addition to that!

first one is possible, second is a plugin and i don't think it's possible to be made as vscript

nice idea's i'll make the spawn range later when i'm done with what i have on my hands

Ah okay, I always wondered why that wasn't a mod, makes sense.

Two other ideas:
Reduced distance for SI to respawn-I've had it happen a lot where a smoker or boomer will slowly follow the survivors from behind and take about a minute or two before respawning near the survivors again. I don't know if you could reduce the distance it takes for the SI bots to respawn but that would likely help/fix the problem of SI chasing survivors unnecessarily.

Change SI before spawning-I've been in some modded servers where you had the option to right click as a SI ghost to change the SI you would spawn as. For example, if the game set me as a jockey when respawning, you could right click and then change into a charger or whichever SI that wasn't currently spawning or alive.

I have zero experience with modding and coding, so I have no idea if these ideas are possible, but it would be awesome if they are. As always I greatly appreciate all the mods you've made :)
