Alternate Armor Scale [FIXED]

Description
ABOUT
A FIXED VERSION OF Alternative Armor Scale BY SomethingRetarded

Originally posted by Pvt. Parts:
Hello! Have you ever encountered
a situation where you discovered a mod that introduces some really cool armor pieces,
only to realize that enemies can barely scratch you anymore?
Sure, armor is meant to protect you, but...
Sometimes certain mods can feel a bit overpowered, you know? Ever had that issue?

In vanilla gameplay,
armor will protect you against a percentage of damage equal to its defence rating.
If your piece of armour has for example, defence 50,
it will reduce damage inflicted to you by 50 precent. Simple as that, right?
So, what happens fi you end up with defence over 100?

Yeah... you'll be ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ invincible, that's the problem, how is that balanced?
And how is it possible that the only mod providing a fix that many people need has been outdated for years now? Of course, if you are a user of some major mods, you'll probably think stuff like "Just use Frackin' Universe" and yaddy yadda. But I only need armor scaling,
I don't want to add another large mod just to get one feature I actually need.
Literally already have over 400 mods, that is enough!

So I have decided to bring this mod back to life, I do not take credit for anything.
Infact, I do not care about appreciation at all, I wanted to balance my ginormous modpack,
and so I did.

Anyways, now it's IMPOSSIBLE TO BE IMMORTAL.

USE WITH MODS FROM FOLLOWING COLLECTION
Except for the OG Alternate Armor Scale mod.

Some ♥♥♥♥♥♥'s Difficulty+ and Standalone Addons

Warning
DO NOT use with the following mods,
they already have their own armor scaling (touch the same files overriding armor prot.) and are NOT compatible.
- Frackin' Universe
- RPG Growth
- Any other mod that touches armor scaling

No problem, I didn't even do anything extra.

Thank you! I have been wanting this since the original stopped updating. There are times when I don't want to use RPG Growth or Frackin. I am one of those players who have the goal of becoming OP in the game through time, but not taking damage at all isn't any fun, there must be some risk.

Technically you could, if the mod had bigger priority it would load over the mods you use.

Gonna try to bump up the priority a bit when I get back home from my shift.
natsumi or something idk 7 May @ 10:07am
so i cant use this :( that sucks because i regularly get to 100+ armor scaling and that effectivvely makes me god and i dont like it

Yeah, should probably fix the description to say "have their own thing" instead of "built into them"
Thanks for pointing that one out, was writing this thing in a hurry.

Both mods touch protection.2functions and levelingmultipliers files,
I have seen the file structures myself while trying to slap this small fix together.
RPG Growth shouůd have its own implementation that runs on different values than the OG AAS.
At least that's what I understood from the description, both mods touch the same files, but in general act differently.
natsumi or something idk 29 Apr @ 11:53am
wdym "RPG growth has this thing built in"? it quite clearly does not if I have RPG growth and its not. doing this

Might tweak it a bit if something comes up.

The mod should work the same way as the original does.
I have gone ahead and made sure the values in the code match.

Athough I never had a chance to see how the original mod works for myself.
Anyways, the mod bumps down max defence stat for tiers 1-10.

Early game armor will probably suck, especially in combination with Difficulty+ and Tougher Mobs.
