SS Stocked Salvage Tug (Modernized)

Description
The IMV Stocked managed to survive the War and was afterward sold as surplus. A keen eye realized her potential. With her long length to beam ratio, room in the aft, and a powerful supercharged diesel engine, the Stocked was perfectly suited as salvage tug.

Salvage tugs are truly unsung heroes, usually overshadowed by the various Coast Guard agencies. Salvage tugs are fast, powerful ships that often go out in the worst conditions to aid ships in distress and get them to a safe harbor. Crews get paid a percentage of the rescued ship's value for their efforts, based on what kind and how much aid is provided, from medical emergencies to ships adrift and/or sinking.

The now SS Stocked was quite successful in her early return to civilian work. Able to rapidly assist ailing vessels in seas that would terrify most deckhands, she survived everything from hurricanes to even massive rogue waves due to her owners and crews' loving handling and maintenance.

Over time as technology improved, the company added features where they could, sometimes almost haphazardly wherever they would fit. Radar, GPS waypoint autopilot, newer transponder locator system, and heaters all helped to improve the conditions of the crew, usually two, but up to four, and even able to be run solo with only minor difficulty.

Due to her expanding mission set, the aft cargo hold was refitted into a sterncastle housing a medical, passenger, and gear bay, containing everything a crew could need for extended salvage and rescue missions. A small helipad was later added for better inland transport and rescue capability.

While her owners now have bigger, newer ships, the SS Stocked remains an essential and versatile cornerstone of the fleet she started.

New Equipment:
Autopilot
Radar
Triangulating transponder locator
Heaters
2 Medical beds (two more can be added by replacing the bench seats)
6 Bench seats
2 Additional crew seats (medic, pilot, etc)
Quite a bit of additional handheld gear
Helipad

Tips:
Stocked is an older vessel with many quirks. A bit of trial and error will usually get you familiar with her pretty quick.
Still gets up to 60 knots standard, 35 while towing.
Due to the destroyer style hull, steering at speed requires a deft hand at the wheel. 1/2 (0.50) throttle is best if turning while using autopilot.
Tends to roll. A lot. Looks like she'll capsize, but I've never had it happen. Don't panic.
Set throttle to .75 or less in moderate to heavy seas to keep prop in water.
Only use the overdrive for emergencies, and for as little amount of time as possible. Best with two crew.
Helicopter take off is usually quite easy, even in bad seas. Landing can take some patience, even in calm seas.
