Description
Map created by Defcon
https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/profiles/76561198079458315

In order to use the map you must update SFM with the latest tf2 content otherwise this map will be very VERY broken for you, video below will show you the easy way in updating sfm

Updating sfm: https://youtu.be/zbfQ5_6kyuM?si=iwr4KL9QftlzwEYJ

If you just want the greek props used in the map i made a spirit upload: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3210308671

Do to sfm?s workshop being a bit buggy with maps youll have to follow the link below to download the map, to instal just simply unzip the file and drag it to your maps section in your usermod folder. DO NOT DROP IT IN YOUR TF FOLDER!

PLEASE READ BEFORE COMPLAINING:

This map has a lot to it and because of that the map will crash SFM if you try rendering it before you put in a certain command

Before loading the map please type "r_hunkalloclightmaps 0" without the quote marks of course in the console tab, afterwords you can now load the map in without any crashes

There is also a light bug that shows up on anything reflective you can fix that with another command "mat_specular 0"

ok yea lot of this is quite mean and honestly people need to get a freken job instead of obsessing over trans people but im gonna be perfectly honest if those posts were making fun of southern folk with the same level of cruelty i'm betting a lot you would be praising them

Look the best way to deal with this stuff is to not get petty and throw a hissy fit over it because thats what a lot of these neckbeard weirdos want, they want the attention and make everyone around them upset because they have nothing better to do in life, to counter their posts and such post more educational stuff and be honest with them or make posts joking about them because it makes you and the community look less petty and more professional

you seem to know quite a lot about all this sfm stuff, making maps and all

that takes patience, intelligence and a specific set of skills 👏👏👏
be proud of thy self, young one, but remember to stay humble

So Says Sensei Soku ☝️😌

may you return to the front page in the near future

ah yes the power of animation, it's nice to hear that, sfm animations saved an old game, at least for the time

whatever happens, it seems there's a good chance i'll have to rely on the community

like that pragma guy and his unfinished sfm copy [PFM]

or just continue working with sfm the best i can
doesn't work too very well
still in beta 10+ years later
abandoned software
drives me insane
bugs out and crashes if you work too fast
has limits on lights, models, and ram
forces you to remember to *CONSTANTLY SAVE* (which isn't entirely a bad thing i suppose)

but it's still better than working from scratch with...ugh...blender :steamfacepalm:

its more they are putting more effort into the source 2 engine witch is understandable but not exactly a good idea when they neglect the regular source engine

since source 2 is still somewhat experimental source 2 is gonna be like how sfm was in its early days and likely will become independent over time i doubt they will make any transfer with sfm stuff to s2fm as s2fm already has programmers and such putting out stuff for it (half life alyx workshop) but yea over time they will likly give s2fm its own app (sfm originally was a program extension itself before becoming its own app in 2011 following the success of the meet the team videos that ironically saved tf2 from an early death

wait, you're saying valve themselves are prioritizing s2fm? not that they just made it and left it like sfm?

so there's a chance they'll make a transition from sfm to s2fm a smooth one?
and it'll have it's own workshop!?!?!?

nahhh wishful thinking, huh? 😅
Necromensch  [author] 10 Jun @ 6:46am
lot of it is because valve is putting S2FM as its priority hoping it will have the same success as SFM and maybe replace sfm all together doesn't help ether theres not really a large enough effort to nudge valve to fix the bugs and whatnot

But ye, thank you for your hard work, and remember to have fun and not push yourself too hard
RaiSokudo 9 Jun @ 7:22pm
Yeah, sounds like sfm

Like bro, they really left it in beta for over a decade :steamsad:

Wonder if this is how half life and tf2 players feel 🥲
Necromensch  [author] 9 Jun @ 6:19pm
its because the sfm workshop has this weird bug with maps where it often doesn't allow maps to upload. sometimes it works but oftin it doesn't hinting why you rarely see maps being uploaded here

doesn't help the sfm Hammer program is the worst out of all the hammer editors so map making for sfm is hard to really do

why is the map on a separate page?
Necromensch  [author] 14 May @ 4:39pm
i had prior uploads on the front page before lol sadly non were not something i created myself
