Tired of Blood on Abysia? Ever wish you could have more Earth magic? Welcome to MA Rhauxa: The Molten Ones!

This mod introduces a Middle Age splinter faction from Abysia after a division in Abysian society over the influence of blood-practicing Warlocks causes a near civil war. The exiles go underground and their skin partially cools and hardens, leading them to appear more like molten magmatic rock than burning men. These Abysians have some natural protection and resistance to afflictions, but have less fire resistance and no heat aura. Along with Pale One refugees and escaped Humanbred slaves fleeing the Warlocks of Abysia, they have a tenuous alliance. The state religion follows Rhuax, one of the Kings of Elemental Fire. Although recently, a new charismatic cult has arisen seeking to purify Anthrax back into Catharsis to save the Abysian race.

Rhauxa has no blood magic (except on a heretical hero), instead focusing mostly on Fire, Earth, and Astral, with some Water and minor Death from Pale One allies. There are two unique summon spells and one unique combat spell.

This is intended to be a light, vanilla-friendly mod that does not have overly unique mechanics or overpowered units.

Credit to the makers of SpriteGen and Magic Enhanced for Dominions 5 for some of the base sprite models before my edits.

@junkmail4mjd Thanks for the compliment and feedback. I just feel like Nature is a big departure from what Abysians are supposed to be about. A custom hero with small nature access could be interesting though, I will read more about the lore to see how I could fit it in.

i feel like catharsis would have nature magic before the corruption as it developed a spell to cure diseases, so maybe nature would be a better fit for the priests of catharsis or at least a 10% random in it. Or maybe a hero that has nature? just a suggestion you can ignore this if you want.

Anointed of Rhuax lacks the 50% darkvision all other molten ones have.

The Annointed of Rhuax doesn't actually cost a holy point in recruitment.

Ohhh now that's cool. I've been poking at the idea of a Spark of Divinity style pretender chassis to follow this kind of national story for a while, so seeing it turned into a full on mod nation is fantastic!
