Description
My rebalancing of the misc playable races.

These changes affect P4 Units (regular ones - not MKIIs), Soldierbots, and South Hivers. If you only want my changes to South Hivers, use this mod.

These changes were made in relation to my Races Rebalanced mod, so I highly recommend downloading that mod along with this one.

CHANGES


Universal
  • All hit chances are the same across every race:
    • 80/80/80/80 for Left Arm, Left/Right Leg, and Head
    • 60 for Right Arm
    • 140 for Chest and Stomach
Different hit chances across the races are somewhat arbitrary and make balancing them more difficult, so I entirely universalized them. I might make a similar change to blood in the future, but I have left it for now.

P4 Units
  • Head HP buffed to 200 (from 150)
  • Chest/Stomach/Limbs HP nerfed to 150 (from 200)
  • Bleed Rate nerfed to 0.5x (from 0.1x)
  • Heal Rate nerfed to 2.25x (from 3.0x)
  • ???Dexterity XP multiplier buffed to 1.0x (from 0.8x)
  • Katanas XP multiplier buffed to 1.0x (from 0.8x)
  • Toughness XP multiplier buffed to 1.2x (from 1.0x)
Flipped the HP values between P4’s Head and other body parts, since no headgear is a weakness that I believe should be compensated for with higher health. The rest of the body parts were nerfed to align with my Skeleton Changes mod (they were nerfed to 175 HP). Bleed Rate nerfed to align with my Skeleton changes. Heal Rate nerfed to align with my other changes but still left high to give this race a niche that is worth losing 25 HP for (relative to Skeletons). The FCS has P4 Units’ Dexterity XP marked as a “bad stat”, but looking in-game shows no negative XP multiplier. Regardless, I have removed this negative XP multiplier. Katanas XP buffed since the penalty felt arbitrary and nonsensical to me. Toughness XP is buffed to match the resilience of Skeletons. Use my P4 Units & Soldierbots Neutered mod if you want them to be a bit weaker. You can use this mod to have the option to start as a P4 Unit. You can use this mod to have Sadneil as a guaranteed P4 Unit recruit.

Soldierbots
  • Bleed Rate nerfed to 0.5x (from 0.1x)
  • Heal Rate nerfed to 1.0x (from 3.0x)
  • ???Strength XP multiplier buffed to 1.0x (from 0.8x)
  • Toughness XP multiplier buffed to 1.2x (from 1.0x)
  • Athletics, Cooking, Engineering, Farming, and Science XP multipliers nerfed to 0.8x (from 1.0x)
Bleed Rate nerfed to align with my Skeleton Changes mod. Heal Rate nerfed to give this race a weakness in relation to Skeletons (who have a Heal Rate of 1.5x with my changes). The FCS has Soldierbots’ Strength XP marked as a “bad stat”, but looking in-game shows no negative XP multiplier. Regardless, I have removed this negative XP multiplier. Toughness XP is buffed to match the resilience of Skeletons. XP multipliers nerfed because I don’t think they match the role of Soldierbots (and they shouldn’t be performing those tasks anyway so I hardly consider them nerfs). The only substantial XP nerf is Athletics, which I believe is a fair weakness for the superior health of Soldierbots. Use my P4 Units & Soldierbots Neutered mod if you want them to be a bit weaker. You can use this mod to have the option to start as a Soldierbot.

South Hive Princes
  • All body parts’ HP buffed to 100 (from 80)
  • Bleed Rate nerfed to 0.4x (from 0.2x)
  • Heal Rate buffed to 1.3x (from 1.0x)
  • Hunger Rate nerfed to 0.6x (from 0.5x)
  • Vision Range multiplier buffed to 1.1x (from 1.0x)
  • Strength XP multiplier buffed to 0.9x (from 0.8x)
  • Lockpicking and Perception XP multipliers buffed to 1.2x (from 1.0x)
  • ?Hive Medic XP multiplier nerfed to 1.0x (from 1.2x)
Buffed HP to give South Hivers an advantage over West Hivers. Bleed/Hunger Rate nerfed to give a weakness compared to them, and Heal Rate brought to 1.3x (1.3 HP per 22 minutes) to be worse than the heal rate from my Races Rebalanced changes. Strength, Lockpicking, and Perception XPs buffed to match West Hivers. Hive Medic XP multiplier reverted to regular, but I believe this doesn’t do anything anyway. You can use this mod to have the option to start as a South Hiver.

South Hive Soldier Drones
  • Chest/Stomach/Limbs HP buffed to 105 (from 100)
  • Bleed Rate nerfed to 0.4x (from 0.3x)
  • Heal Rate buffed to 1.15x (from 1.0x)
  • Hunger Rate nerfed to 0.7x (from 0.6x)
  • Weather Immunity buffed to include Duststorms and Gas
  • ?Vet XP multiplier buffed to 1.0x (from 0.8x)
  • Medic XP buffed to 1.0x (from 0.8x)
  • Athletics, Melee Defense, and Polearms XP multipliers buffed to 1.2x (from 1.0x)
  • Perception XP multiplier nerfed to 0.8x (from 1.0x)
Buffed HP to give South Hivers and advantage over West Hivers.   • Hunger Rate nerfed to 0.6x (from 0.5x)
  • Vision Range multiplier buffed to 0.9x (from 0.5x)
  • Strength XP multiplier buffed to 0.9x (from 0.8x)
  • Cooking XP multiplier buffed to 1.0x (from 0.8x)
  • Turrets XP multiplier nerfed to 1.0x (from 1.2x)
Buffed HP to give South Hivers an advantage over West Hivers.
